My 35 Favorite Healthy Recipes for the New Year.
Who’s in need of some serious detox food?

I’ve been working hard all week on my upcoming Healthy January recipes and I’m so excited to start sharing them all with you next week. Lots of yummy recipes coming up! In the meantime, I wanted to put together a post including all of my favorite healthy recipes that are already on the blog. I know a lot you are planning for the New Year, so I thought this post might be helpful. What I love about all of these recipes is that while they are healthy, they are also filling and satisfying. I’m not one for boring salads or tasteless chicken, I like a lot of color, flavors and texture in my food, so nothing bland here!
I have actually loved cooking up the healthier eats this week. I’ve been making cozy, healthy comfort food and it’s been awesome. There’s something that feels so fresh and new about recipes that are full of nutrients. Perfect way to way to welcome in the New Year!
Tomorrow I will be sharing my last cocktail post (and my last post of 2016 ?) so be sure to check back! Hope you guys are having an awesome laid back week!

Gosh your pictures are gorgeous! I love that hot chocolate can be healthy 🙂 People in my family say they don’t like beets, but I LOVE them and can only imagine they would be awesome in hot chocolate, and not just on top of salads or in borscht. (I bet you would make an AMAZING borscht, by the way!)
Thank you so much Melissa, I am really glad you are loving the hot chocolate cause thats one of my favorites!! I will have to look into borscht!
I love beets !!! You make great dishes!
Obrigado por compartilhar receitas detox faz muito bem pra saúde
Muito obrigado!
NONE of these recipes look like they’re deprived of flavor, calories, nutrients and more, which is AMAZING. Detoxing is totally mixed up with restricting–totally not true! You can detox simply by eating whole foods, and these recipes contain a mass array of them! 😀 Now I would LOVE to try the peanut butter acai bowl, banana oatmeal, mean green detox salad, sweet potato soup, zucchini noodle bowls (veganized, of course!), falafel bowl, veggie spring rolls, coconut quinoa and lentil curry, cauliflower tacos, coconut cashew spaghetti squash alfredo, chocolate chip almond butter banana bread, chocolate quinoa bark, chocolate coconut almond bars, and avocado brownies! Wow, that’s a mouthful, but I better get cooking!
Tieghan, firstly I’m obsessed with everything you make! But you HAVE to try something… a few years ago I came across something on the internet along the lines of “the science behind cooking salmon”… try baking your salmon at 250 degrees F. For 25 minutes (sometimes it takes 30 for meatier pieces) I like using dry seasoning because it creates such a delicate piece of fish that you don’t want it to be smothered in a sugary glaze. I promise you will turn your back on high-heat quick cooking your salmon. I haven’t tried this with other fish, but I won’t eat anyone else’s salmon but my own now because it just feels like everyone else’s is so wrong! Lol I hope you try, your life will change 🙂 ps I’m sure you already know this, don’t use “atlantic” wild caught is the way to go. Insanely different with the flavors, even when you have to pull out all the bones, that’s the labor of love!!
Hey Natalie!! Oh my gosh, slow roasting the salmon at a low temperature sounds insanely delicious! I think I need to give it a try this month. Thank you so much for the suggestion! 🙂 ps. alwasy wild caught, it’s the best!
I’m starting a diet this early in 2017 and these recipes will help me a lot. Thank you!
Perfect, hope you love it!
wow, I really love what you have created so far. Amazing!!! Thanks for sharing.
Thank you so much for these recipes. I’ve made 3 or 4 already this year and they are so full of flavour. Even my veggie hating husband tells me how delicious they are. I live in the UK and in a small town at that, so I can’t always find all of the ingredients, but a few substitutions haven’t changed the amazing flavours.
I am SO glad you love the recipes you have made & your husband too!! Thank you Nia, I hope you enjoy others as well!
Here s a feast that s both merry and bright. We ve partnered with Tieghan Gerard, founder of Half Baked Harvest, to throw an ornament party complete with a tasty menu, including this main course and sides.
