Baby Goat Photos + All Things Fall!
OkOK! It’s finally time for baby goat photos + all things fall!
First, I am so sorry these photos took me forever to get posted. Those little baby goats are hard to catch, as they always seem to be running and jumping. I guess that’s just what baby goats do!
SO, a few things to note. Even though these cute little goats seem small, they have actually doubled in size since they were born. The first two kids are 3 weeks old today, and the youngest two kids are only 2 weeks old, but guys, they are growing so fast!
Not going to lie, I still wish they were tiny newborns again, SOOO cute.
Also worth noting is that these little babies like to stick together. If they’re not with their mom then they are running around and playing. Looking out my window everyday this week has been amazing. This last week has been the first week they have all been SUPER active, out all day! It’s so fun to watch them and a very nice ten second break as I walk past the window. Perfect little unexpected mood booster too!
If you’ve missed any info about the baby goats, we have five babies, or kids as they are technically supposed to be call. Three of the kids are boys and two are girls. Layla, Mara and Tiramisu, the kid’s mothers, are all doing awesome and being the best kid loving moms! It was somewhat of a rocky start for a couple of the kids, but everyone is healthy and good!
Yeah!
Alright, so here are the photos. Sorry, some of them are not the best, but like I said, they’re kind of hard to capture. They surely DO NOT sit still like my food does.
I know! Aren’t they just the cutest thing you’ve ever seen?!? I honestly love them to pieces. Our original plans were to not keep the kids, or at least not the boys (aka billies, which can be really hard to handle). BUT I just do not see how we could ever separate them from their moms. Like I can’t. Plus, they seem to really like it here on our little Gerard family wannabe “farm”.
Question: what do you think? Do you love the goats as much as I do? Should I be making homemade goat cheese with all my fresh goat milk?!?!

It could just be me because I watch way too much TV because it is literally the only way I can find to relax, but Fall TV shows! All of my favourites are back this week, and there are so many great new things to discover.
It is pretty relaxing! Thanks Rachel!
Your post has many detail information. I read all of your article and I genuinely like it. Thank you for discussing this great post.
Oh my gush, you made me so happy this morning! Those goats are the cutest! Even if you took and posted a hundred of pictures, it would of been not enough!! Those lopsided ears.. those cute limbs.. just pure joy!! Ha-ha, I love the picture where all five are in a row heading all together, besties!! And to answer your question– YES, YES, YES!! Should totally try to make your own goat cheese!! I was at farmer’s market yesterday and saw a bunch of cool varieties– chocolate, provance of Italy, honey and mustard, lavender.. You love to experiment, so I can only imaging what crazy and incredible varieties you would come out with!
Thank you for the goat pictures!! And Halloween Spread is super beautiful! I am in love with that dome covered board.
Thank you so much Nikki! So happy you are loving the photos of them! Those are some great ideas for cheese too! Haha. (:
Loved the first episode of This is Us! Lots of Parenthood vibes.
Thanks for the cute goat photos and fall-ish things!
Thank you Lori!
This brings me back to my childhood, I grew up on a small farm on a hill & we had goats. my job when i was like 6- ish was to feed the goats. Now i don’t know if your goats are rowdy, but mine were. They would love to head butt me, i was their target. I would go in close the gate & then get attacked by goats! I would go flying , the food would go flying, i dreaded that job. I am a city girl now, but I’m glad i had the best of both worlds. I do miss those crazy goats now. LOL!
Haha awh that is crazy! They sound cute tho! Thanks Karen!
You should definitely make goat cheese! My aunt used to have goats that looked almost exactly like yours, and her homemade goat cheese was one of the most amazing things ever! I could eat a gallon of it!
That is so great!! I will have to try! Thanks Kaitlyn!
Girl! Where to start on this post filled with cuteness, coziness, yumminess, my fave all things fall!!! Ok let’s start with the kids, they are super cute and love all the pics when they’re all together just hanging out plus with that mountain backdrop? I wish I’ve got that view! I love ALL your posts on crate and barrel. Love the room makeover, and the advise on taking a step back and taking one item out coz I seem to do otherwise. Love all the Halloween settings and so making that witches brew! I never thought that’s all there is to it! And that witches hat cheese is so clever and with the glass dome on it, so classy. Ok ok I could talk all day but I guess what I’m trying to say is I Love everything here! ? great job as always!
Thank you so much Sheila, this is so kind and I am so happy you are loving this post! (:
Thank you for the kid photos, Tieghan. They are extremely cute. What lucky babies to grow up with that scenery. Thank you also for the great recipes and C&B posts. It’s no wonder you don’t get to spend much time in your lovely bedroom. Hope you and your family really enjoy the fall season. Hello to Asher! Cheers, Ardith
Thanks so much Ardith! I hope you enjoy the fall season as well!
This post literally made my day. I love seeing and hearing about the baby goats. And you are a stunningly gifted photographer!!! Like WOW!!! Also I should mention that your snapchat of the Aspen trees turning golden inspired a family trip to Colorado as we are not experiencing fall down in Texas where it is still in the 90s!! Lol
Awh well awesome! I hope you enjoy your trip Sarah!! Thanks so much!
Such a great list!! I love your new bedroom makeover- I need some more Fall infused into my house, besides just pumpkin candles! As far as what I’m watching and looking forward to, it’s the same answer: Love Actually. It’s def one of my top 3 favorite movies and I usually watch it at least once a month during the cool months with a cozy bowl of soup. Nothing beats it! Enjoy the rest of your weekend 🙂
Thank you so much Rachel!
Fall is my favorite season so I’m so ready for it to start. And no Halloween is perfect without Hocus Pocus. I’m a city girl through and through since I was born, raised, and live in San Francisco, but after seeing and reading about your soooo cute ! baby goats, I kinda wish I was living on a farm so I can have a couple too! lol
Haha they are just too adorable! And agreed! No Halloween is perfect without it! Thanks Andrea!
Your adorable kids! Baby goats make me melt and your baby pictures are soooo sweet. How long do you wait to name them? I love their Mom’s names. Thank you and please continue to post more – made my day! Fall is truly the best – canning garden tomatoes and processing fresh herbs to have in freezer over winter – trying out green tomato salsa verde this year to can up. Thanks for putting up so many wonderful fall-inspired visuals and yummies! Gorge bedroom with your sweet kittie as part of the cozy 🙂 Yay fall!
Hey Tammy!! SOOO excite you enjoyed this post! We tried to name them after Harry Potter Characters, but for some reason that has not stuck. I think we need easier to pronounce names. haha! So happy you are lovin’ my recipes, that makes me so happy! Have a great week! 🙂
I look forward to your posts and while some of your recipes have too many steps/ingredients (I’m a reluctant cook), the ones I’ve tried are winners! The movie I am looking most forward to seeing is La La Land, a musical with Ryan Gosling (yes, the hunk sings and dances) and Emma Stone. It won the audience pick for best film at The Toronto Film Festival. My list of upcoming films is lengthy, but this one tops them all!
Oh awesome! Maybe I will check that out! So happy you love my recipes, thanks Janice!
Oh my gush, you made me so happy this morning! Those goats are the cutest! But i gotta admit i love kittens more than goats.
Thank you so much!! Happy you are loving them!
My goddddd, these goats are so cute! Wish I could have 1, or 3. 🙂
Love seeing your C&B shoots!
And finally, I am rewatching Gilmore Girls and looking forward to the revival. I’m also cooing recipes from all the episodes! 🙂
Awesome Alice! That sounds so great! Thank you!
Hey Tieghan!
Your baby goats are adorable.
I love looking at recipes using your app and it hasn’t been working since Tuesday.
Love your incredible cooking,
Kristen
Thanks so much, Kristen!! I am actually revamping my app, so the old one is no longer working. Hoping to have a new one up and running soon. So sorry for the trouble! Let me know if there is any way I can help with finding recipes or anything.
Thanks so much! That makes so much more sense. Excited for the new app and will use your blog for now 🙂
Kristen
Of course!!
I’m loving the new Staub black pumpkin coquette!! I think I saw it on one of your posts…jealous! The weather has turned cool here in NC, and by cool I mean 79-75!! It’s still great! I loved seeing all your inspiring fall videos and your Crate and Barrel party/cocktail/room ideas! Honestly my favorite thing is the ability to roast some fall veggies on high without roasting my self and family!!
Haha ya seriously… Cooking during the summer gets a little hot! Thanks so much Cassandra!
I am DYING over these baby goats. So so cute! I would just want to watch them all day and I would get nothing done haha. Also, THAT MOUNTAIN VIEW. Stunning.
Haha thank you so much Chelsea!!
Aaaah baby goats — my FAVORITE! I seriously for YEARS felt like my life long dream was to hold a baby goat in my arms (finally it was fulfilled on a backpacking trip to India bakc in 2013 — quite possibly one of the top 3 moments in my life) so as soon as I saw the title of this post on your homepage I knew I had to read every word! Awesome pics — they are soooo adorable! You’ve got to keep them all and make sure they stay baby goats forever (is that possible? ha) Those pics have seriously made my day!
Haha oh my gosh goats in India!! That sounds amazing!! So happy you liked my pictures of our goats!! Little guys are hard to get pictures of!! I wish they could stay babies forever, they are just so darn cute!! Thank you Vicky!!

How precious do these baby goats look! 😀 I cannot wait until you find adorable names for them!
Your babies are precious. I always wanted goats too. Don’t give them away. Love and enjoy them. Life is short, make homemade goat cheese. Yum!

Incredibly beautiful food photos, I love reading your blog! Quality photos like yours always inspire me! Tell me which camera do you use?

So, first of all, do you really have 18 people in your family😳, I have 3 brothers, and I can’t imagine anymore! How old was your brother Red, when he won Gold in South Korea? He looks so young!
I have a niece, and nephew that live in Telluride, are you close? They both teach skiing, and boarding! My niece is married to a crazy off trail boarder🤦🏻♀️ Scary!
Do you all live together? That’d be either an awfully big house, or tight quarters😂 And, lastly, you deserve an Olympic Gold in cooking!! Keep up the great work! Be careful with your hands… I have burns on both forearms, a new one every year!🔥😝 OUCH
Hey Deb,
Well, I have 7 siblings and then my 3 cousins and their significant others are always with us as well. My brother Red as 18 when he won. I am not very close to Telluride. We don’t all live together:) Thanks for reading! xTieghan
