Roasted Butternut Squash Apple Burrata Pizza.
Oh hey! Who’s ready for roasted butternut squash apple burrata pizza!
Me, me, ME! I mean, obviously!
So a couple of things we need to chat about today…
…pizza!
…and that new Food Network Snapchat Discover video that’s up today!
OK, but where to start? Maybe with the new snapchat video that’s airing RIGHT THIS SECOND on Food Network’s Snapchat Discover Channel! Yeah! You guys, I am so excited about these videos, and today’s video is all about my favorite way to set a fall themed dinner table, and um, there may even be a little cheese board making involved.
FOR REAL. 🙂
For those of you who do not have snapchat, don’t worry! You can get all the recipes on Food Network AND for any of you who want to get an even more detailed glimpse into my little barn, you can watch all the full videos on HGTV. Not going to lie, I still have yet to watch these videos in their entirety. I see myself and cover my eyes, like I just can’t. Watching myself is maybe the worst thing ever, BUT I am still really exited for you guys to watch them. I had so much filming with Food Network and of course, the recipes are delicious (um hello, fish tacos + ramen + no-churn ice cream 3 ways + cheesy zucchini pizza!!!) and the crafts are all really fun to make (I’m talking indoor herb garden + natural fabric dyes + flavored honey + autumn squash flower vases + my favorite autumn table setting!!)!
SOO make sure you check out today’s video on Food Network’s Discover Snapchat Channel and then follow-up by watching all the videos right here. 🙂
Next up, I’m thinking we NEED to talk about this pizza.
This pizza that’s literally become one of my favorite fall pizzas ever… no seriously.
I make it no secret how much I love fruit + cheese, and when there is cheese paired with fall favorites like apples + autumn squash… well I wouldn’t take much to guess it would be a favorite.
There’s no denying that autumn is my foodie season, and by that I just mean it’s my favorite season to cook with seasonal produce. Yep, I actually love it even more than summer.
It seems every year about this time I like to make a new autumn inspired pizza recipe:
Example one: Charred Brussels Sprout Pizza with Browned Sage Butter
Example two: Apple and Caramelized Onion Pizza
Example three: Sweet ‘N’ Spicy Roasted Butternut Squash Pizza with Beer Caramelized Onions
Example four: Butternut, Crispy Kale and Fontina Pizza
Ahh, yeah, you see, I kind of like my fall pizzas!
This one though, is extra special! It’s full of burrata, sweet apples, roasted butternut squash and crispy prosciutto!
Can you say yum or what? It’s the perfect fall pizza, and well you should probably make it… ASAP. 🙂

Roasted Butternut Squash Apple Burrata Pizza.

It's the perfect fall pizza
Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 4 cups cubed butternut squash or pumpkin
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1 teaspoon chili powder divided
- 1/2 pound [homemade | https://dev.halfbakedharvest.com/apple-and-caramelized-onion-pizza-with-pumpkin-seed-pangrattato/] or store-bought pizza dough
- 2 tablespoons fig preserves optional
- 1 honeycrisp apple thinly sliced
- 8 ounces burrata cheese
- 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 3 ounces thinly sliced prosciutto torn
- 1 large handful baby kale or arugula
- leaves cripsy sage for topping
- toasted pumpkin seeds for topping
Instructions
-
Preheat the oven to 450 degrees F.
-
Spread the butternut squash out in a single layer on a baking sheet. Drizzle the olive oil, honey, chili powder salt and pepper, toss well to coat. Roast until butternut squash is tender, 20 to 25 minutes, stirring halfway through cooking. Remove and set aside.
-
Grease a large baking sheet with olive oil. On a lightly floured surface, push/roll the pizza dough out until until it is pretty thin (about a 10-12 inch circle). Transfer the dough to the prepared baking sheet. Spread the dough with fig preserves (if using) and layer on the apple slices. Break the burrata cheese over the apples and divide evenly among the pizza. Evenly sprinkle on the roasted butternut squash and then add the parmesan. Next add the prosciutto. Drizzle lightly with olive oil. Place in the oven and bake for 10-15 minutes or until the crust is golden, the cheese has melted, and the prosciutto has crisped. Remove from the oven and top with a handful of baby kale, sage and toasted pumpkin seeds. Slice and eat!
Take that Wednesday! Pizza night for the win. ?
Uhm yup! Yes to all the fall ingredients! This pizza just screams autumn, fall, whichever you want to call it! It’s funny because I was just checking on what cheese goes well with what apples because I’ve got apples from my cousin who got them from their own orchard! Oh and congratulations on all your endeavours, Tieghan, so happy for you! ?
Thank you so much Sheila! This is so sweet. And enjoy those apples I bet they are so good!! haha!
Pizza night for the win indeed! It’s like you took all the best noms and put them together – how could it fail!?! Looks insanely good 🙂

Butternut squash man here. It’s the only type I’ll eat. This is my kinda of pizza. But I’m still going to ask my wife to make it for me.
Haha well I hope she and yourself enjoy this Tom! Thanks so much!
I’ve always enjoyed your pizza recipes and I’ll definitely be checking this one out. I could even see using Brie here instead of the burrata. That’s what I love about pizza-the combinations are endless. Maybe in one of your pizza posts you could give some hints about how to work with the dough. For some reason I have the hardest time getting it to stay put once I roll it out even though I let it sit on the counter for a bit before I work with it. Always my biggest challenge but usually worth the effort!
Hi Jean!! Yes! I can totally talk about that in a post, but here are my tips. Make sure you dough is not cold at all room temp is best. I leave my dough out on the counter for at least 3 hours before cooking. This helps shape the dough so much! If your dough is not staying put, just roll it back into a ball and let it rest (cover) for 10 minutes. The try rolling it out again. But really the trick is room temp dough not over working it. Let me know if you have any questions! Thank you! 🙂
Enjoyed your videos. So glad I could watch them. The last one you had on your blog I wasn’t able to watch.

Hey Tieghan! I don’t eat ham, is there anything else you would recommend to replace it with for something savoury? I am so excited to try this – I love your blog, recipes, and enjoy watching your snapchat videos. Thank you for creating such wonderful recipes I can share with my loved ones in my home!

Making on Thursday this week, so excited. I’ve never had burreta cheese before. Where do you get it? I have an Italian store down the road from me which is awesome so I will check there.
Can’t wait for your book to get here!
Hey Katie! I buy mine from my local grocery store or whole foods. I am sure your Italian store will carry it too! 🙂 Hope you love the pizza!
made this last night and eating it was seriously a spiritual experience. my sisters bf said it’s in his top 10 best meals of his life! great recipe!!
Wow! That is amazing to hear! Thank you Keira!
Very sweet with the fig spread. Great pizza! Next time im adding more prosciutto!
Amazing! I am so glad this turned out so well for you Sara! xTieghan
This is my favorite pizza yet! My husband and neighbhor loved it so much. The fig preserve is the best for a base if you tired of a tomato based pizza. The apple, butternut squash and prociutto really elevated this pizza in simple way. So tasty! I have been using the fleishman’s rapid rise recipe from the the other post for th dough and it is super easy to work with. Thanks for making me look good again Tieghan!
Hey there,
Thanks so much for giving this recipe a try, I am so glad it was enjoyed! Happy Sunday:) xTieghan
