An Easy Christmas Tablescape + My Christmas Menu.
I finally set aside a few hours last week to create this tablescape, and had so much fun doing so. I wanted to create a table that was inexpensive, festive, and easy to achieve. Seeing as Christmas Eve is tomorrow, I thought I’d share an easy Christmas Tablescape + My Christmas menu, along with a few tips!
My favorite thing to do is create beautiful things. Ever since I was a kid I’ve loved creating, styling, and dressing things up to make them pretty. It’s always been my dream to have the prettiest Christmas table. But up until now, I’ve never been able to make that happen.
Soo…
For my centerpiece, I bought 3 bundles of eucalyptus greens for $5 each at the grocery store. I also picked up a bunch of pomegranates and simply arranged them around the edges of the greens. Then I threw in a few ornaments for an extra festive touch, and done. Took me only 10 minutes and turned out so pretty. The major bonus in using eucalyptus?
It smells incredible, just like Christmas actually. Perfection.
Moving along to my dishes. I used simple brushed white plates (sold out), and gold flatware, to add a festive pop of color. Natural linens with velvet ribbon, and the cutest homemade gingerbread cookie name tags, give each place setting a special touch. To finish off the table, I used my favorite fancy wine glasses that add an air of elegance.
In full disclosure, I can 100% guarantee my Christmas Eve and Christmas Day table will not look like this. My family is full of boys who could simply care less about what the table looks like. And since I’m usually running around in the kitchen, the table never gets as fully done up I would like. I try, but then ten seconds later someone comes in and ruins it. I wish I was joking, but that’s my family. They’re wild and crazy, and they drive me insane…but yet I love them to death.
And with that, I’m going to leave you guys with my Christmas Eve and Christmas Day dinner menus. I hope you all have a wonderful holiday, making many memories with family and friends! Merry Christmas!

Tieghan…your table is beautiful…I really like those wine glasses! I have such good intentions on making things look beautiful and decorating (I follow too many blogs and look at Pinterest way too much!) And I think I would be the only one to notice or enjoy it, so I do minimal. But, I guess if it brings me some joy and satifaction, then it’s a win, right! I smiled when I saw Red’s name on his reindeer placecard. Doesn’t seem so long long ago his face was everywhere. He actually reminds me of a little Xmas elf . (You can tell him I said that..haha! ). Anyways…you have yourself a merry little Christmas, and I look forward to a whole lot more of your inspiring recipes in the New Year! On a side note, I have those eggnog cinnamon rolls on the 2nd rise as we speak! The first rise was impressive! Merry Christmas Tieghan. ?
Hi Colleen! I am so glad you loved this table set up and the cinnamon rolls! Thank you so much!
May you have a Merry CHRISTmas and a Healthy, Happy New Year!

The table looks beautiful! Merry Christmas! Love reading your blog each AM.
Awh, thank you Suzanne!
Tieghan, you are a gift that keeps on giving. Your tablescape is an absolutely beautiful and inspired creation. I will definitely recreate it on a smaller scale for my own table. I do not often comment, but always enjoy your posts and your yumalicious recipes are the best. I want to tell you that my almost 5 yr. old Grandson, Benjamin, and I made the Glittered Gingerbread Christmas Tree Ornaments. We used the same recipe to make Gingerbread Men ornaments too. Gingerbread Men is my theme this year, revisited from other years including most recently, Benjamin’s first Christmas in 2014. We made cookies and memories that will be treasured. Wishing you and your family the Merriest Christmas ever! Thank-you!
Hi Ellen! I am so glad you and your grandson made those gingerbread ornaments and I hope you had an amazing time doing so! Thank you so much!

Hi, this is my first visit to your blog. It sounds like this might be one of your first tables. Let me just say that you did a spectacular job! Your style is one of casual elegance and is very appealing! A few suggestions, if I may: The sharp edge of the knife should be turned inward. Actually, that’s my only suggestion. You really did a phenomenal job. Also, it wouldn’t hurt to set the expectation among your boys that this is how we do Christmas. Part of our jobs as mothers is to civilized the adorable imps. My boys know how to set a table as well as I can. We used to set a very simple table every day for dinner. Nothing fancy, but they learned where the fork and knife go, and to add a napkin to the setting, etc. Now, they are all grown up, but they both have beautiful table manners, and it’s funny because they are very aware when they go somewhere else, when a table is badly set. On another note, I love your dishes. The cups with the scalloped borders are just beautiful! I bet your Christmas was just perfect! I can’t wait to see what you do this year.
Thank you so much Maria! I am so glad you like this and other recipes of mine and I hope you continue to!! xTieghan

What a beautiful photographic “story” on Christmas entertaining. I know you indicated your lovely dinnerware was not available,; however, are you able to tell me the pattern? I’m fierce at trying to locate unlocatable items.
