Holiday Cheermeister Bourbon Punch.
Get into the spirit of the season with this Holiday Cheermeister Bourbon Punch. Warming bourbon, sweet pomegranate juice, zesty citrus, and bubbly Prosecco, all mixed together to create the perfect holiday punch that’s both festive and delicious. Serve this poured over homemade festive “holiday” ice cubes for the prettiest seasonal cocktail. This Holiday Cheermeister Bourbon Punch will surely bring happiness to all who choose to indulge.

If you’ve ever seen The Grinch, which I really hope everyone has, then you know who the Holiday Cheermeister is. He or she is the spirit of the holidays and meant to bring cheer to all.
In the Grinch’s case, he could probably use a little cheer on the inside! So, since this Holiday Cheermeister Bourbon Punch is full of Christmas spirit, I thought it would be the perfect cocktail to help out poor Mr. Grinch.
It’s full of warming bourbon, sweet pomegranate, winter citrus, and topped off with bubbly Prosecco. All things cheerful!
When brainstorming my Christmas Cocktails for this year, this was one of the first drinks to come to mind. I don’t know why I never thought of this sooner, but the idea of a Holiday Cheermeister Punch sounded way too fun to pass up.

Here are the details.
Mix a little bourbon with some pomegranate juice, fresh orange zest, and orange juice. Chill the mixture in your favorite punch bowl or pitcher. Then just before you’re ready to serve, add the Prosecco. And just like that you’ll have your party punch ready to go. And in under ten minutes. It’s so easy, extra delicious, refreshing, and full of bubbles. Basically this is the ultimate holiday party punch.
AND. To make things just a touch more festive… I made holiday ice cubes with fresh cranberries, blood orange slices, and fresh rosemary. I LOVE how these ice cubes turned out, and the added bonus is that they will not water down your drink.
Yes, please.

This cocktail perfect for any and all of your upcoming parties. But it’s also great enjoyed with a small group of family or friends. I love that it’s not loaded with added sugars like most punch recipes. The mix of pomegranate juice and Prosecco (you could also just use a sparkling wine) keeps the punch perfectly sweet. To me there’s nothing worse than a drink that gives you a “sugar rush” hangover.
No thank you.
I hope you all enjoy this very fun drink…and that it brings plenty of Cheer to your holiday season!

Making this for a party tomorrow night however don’t have a punch bowl. Can I just pour all into a pitcher, including Prosecco , or should pour in glasses and top with Prosecco ? What would be the ratio? Thanks!!!
Oh, and I’m making the ice cubes! They’re so festive.
You can pour everything into a pitcher. Please let me know if you have any other questions. I hope you love this recipe. Thanks so much!! xTieghan ?
I made these last night for a couple’s dinner Christmas party and it was a huge success. The ice cubes were gorgeous and the drink was delicious! Everyone loved it. We put sugar around the rim of the glass and it really made it feel Christmasy! This is a keeper recipe for me and I’ll be making it more time this holiday season 🙂 Thanks!
Thank you so much Kim! I am so glad you loved this punch!
Hi! Any way you could give the ratios for one drink? Looks great!!
See below!
1 ounce bourbon
2 tablespoons pomegranate juice
a little orange zest (less than a teaspoon, but do it to taste)
1 tablespoon freshly squeeze orange juice
Prosecco or sparkling wine, chilled, just to top off your drink
pomegranate arils
Hi, I’m in the process of making this and am unclear on the pomegranate arils. I assume you just add them to the ingredients in the pitcher?
(I hope it’s ok to make that part a day ahead.)
Thanks!
Hi Christine! Yes, you can do that or add them to the individual glasses! I hope this turns out amazing for you!
HI! Yes, you should just add to the pitcher and yes, you can make a day ahead. Please let me know if you have any other questions. I hope you love this recipe. Thanks so much and happy Holidays!! xTieghan ?
Made this for a party tonight. It was great! I probably drank most (all) of it, but it was a excellent! I grabbed an extra bottle of Proseco, so we will be having it on Chrismas Eve too! Goes down very easy!
That is so amazing! I am so glad you loved this Debbie!
Made this yesterday for our “Little Christmas Eve” celebration….EVERYONE loved it – from 20-somethings to 70- somethings. None of us are bourbon drinkers – but we’ve been gifted a few nice bottles so I was looking for a way to use them. This cocktail is perfectly balanced. The ice cubes were gorgeous and easy to do. I served it with your spinach artichoke lemon dip as a late afternoon snack – and both were HUGE hits! These now have a place in my repertoire for parties for sure!!! Way to knock it out of the park, TIegen! BTW – I am new to your site and have made four of your recipes so far and all were AMAZING. Enjoy your Holiday and sending thanks!!!
Hi Kris! I am so glad you all enjoyed this recipe so much! Thank you for trying it! I hope you had an amazing Christmas!
Beautiful, festive cocktail. The ice cubes were a huge hit and made all the difference. We added a bit more bourbon than the recipe called for because guests found it too sweet otherwise. An additional two ounces (6oz total) made this a party favorite!
I am so glad you all loved this! Thank you Anna!
Made this last night for Christmas Eve’s eve! It was such a hit, so I am making it again tonight. Very refreshing-and an overall crowd pleaser. Even for those family members who swear they don’t like bourbon or “fruity” drinks. Serve it with pomegranates and herbs for the wine tee and orange slices for summer. My favorite cocktail I’ve ever made!
I am so glad you loved this Nancy! Thank you so much!
This cocktail was amazing and loved by all ok Christmas Day, thank you!
Thank you so much Heather! I am so glad you all loved this punch!
Tasty cocktail! Shared this with friends at New Years and it was a big hit! Definitely make the ice cubes if you make the drink, the little touch of flair adds a lot!
YES! I am so glad you liked this Kelci! Thank you!
We served this for NYE and it was such a hit! We’ll be making it again soon!
That is so amazing! I am so glad everyone enjoyed this cocktail, Michelle! Thank you!
