Mango Spinach Smoothie.
How about a little green for your Sunday?!?!
Soo back about two weeks ago now, I had my wisdom teeth pulled. If you read regularly then you know all about this. I complained and complained for days and days. The good news is, I am finally starting to feel semi normal again and back to my old self. BUT when I couldn’t chew a single thing, I was all about smoothies, and this Mango Spinach Smoothie quickly became my favorite. Nutrition wise, it gave me all the things I needed… veggies, fruits, loads of good fats and antioxidants. I swear, this smoothie kept me alive for the first week…the best part … it’s also DELICIOUS! So I didn’t mind drinking it… for like every meal.
I loaded this green smoothie with all of my favorite things…
…mango
…spinach
…passionfruit
…coconut
…vanilla
…maca powder
If you wanted to bump up the protein you could also add a scoop of almond butter or like 1/2 cup of plain greek yogurt. Simple, SIMPLE, so yummy and good for us. YEAH!!

Smoothie Sunday for the win! 🙂
Getting your wisdom teeth out is the WORST! So glad you’re feeling better… and the smoothie recipe looks delicious. Love the coconut milk in there!
IT is!! Thank you!! (:
Yum! Love the addition of passion fruit, looks so cute and tastes good too!
Thank you!! Glad you like it!!
Ouch, getting wisdom teeth is no joke! I’m dreading having to get my gums worked on, but I know it HAS to be done. Smoothies are the best. I’ll be giving this one a try if I can’t eat solid food for a few days. Thanks for sharing!
Hope you love it when you get there! And good luck!!
My fridge is overloaded with greek yogurt at the moment. You just gave me a lightbulb moment with this recipe.
Haha perfect!!
Hope you’re feeling better, Tieghan! Getting your wisdom teeth out is the worst 🙁 But I love this vibrant smoothie, so full of nutrients to help you recover!! 😀
Thanks!! Feeling good now!! (:
Unfortunately my wisdom tooth experience was before everyone was on the green smoothie train, but this really looks like a lifesaver! Love the addition of ginger here too, yum!
Thank you Andrea!! (:
Glad you’re on the mend! I am a smoothie junkie and this sounds fantastic! Can’t wait to try it!
Hope you love it Kathy!!
Mmm! This sounds so good and bright and springy! When I got my wisdom teeth out I remember being so frustrated about not eating solid food that I got to the point where I was swallowing soft pasta whole… Not a proud moment. Hope you’re feeling better! 🙂
HAHA whats funny about that is Kai (my brother who just got his tonsils out) said the same thing to me the other day!
I’ve never needed my wisdom teeth removed, but I can imagine what an experience it is 🙁 no chewing for weeks and weeks! I betcha this smoothie totally got you through the day and still tasted amazing while giving you so many health benefits!
It was a life saver!!
I have to admit , I have never had a fruit smooth with spinach in it, but thinking about it now the way you combined it with the mango, coconut, and other ingredients they all compliment each other. I am going to try this.
I hope you got to try and loved it! Thanks(:
I am going to give this a try, although the thought of spinach in a smoothie does seem all that appetizing.
It tastes better than it sounds!! I even got Kai (my picky brother) to drink it! I hope you found the same (: Thanks Peyton
Mango is my favorite fruit & combination with spinach will surely rock it. I can’t stop myself to stop trying it. It is looking mouth-watering for me. Thank you so much for this 🙂
Your welcome!! Thank you!!
I made this this afternoon and… It was not only SO good but also very filling!! People actually make me so mad when they talk about getting full from a smoothie bc that never happens to me, but this one totally filled me up! I also had a hangover which this quickly cured. Thank you!! I am so excited to make this smoothie many more times!
Ah sounds like it hit the spot!! So happy to hear that, thanks Sarah!!
I am nowhere near to have my wisdom teeth removed (even though I should!) but this looks like the perfect breakfast!
Its no fun!!! Hope you loved it, thanks!!
This is sure to start my morning of right! Pinned
Thanks!! Hope you loved it Sommer!
So are we starting to channel one another? LOL!
I sat down yesterday with my green smoothie to catch up w/ HBH
and other web stuff….and there you were with your version!
Right now there are so many different greens in my garden that it makes for quite a variety. I like green smoothies, but I think green juice is really my favorite. Oh, BTW, I really like how you create such healthy recipes that can be vegan/mostly vegan or not……it creates great flexibility for those of us who just love good food but don’t want to be stuck with a label like “100%Raw” or “Vegan” or “OmniVore. We just want to be happy eating healthy dishes!
LOL!! Thank you!! Its hard to make everyone happy!! (:
If only I had a blender when I got my wisdom teeth pulled out…I remember fainting because I could only eat canned chicken noodle soup for 3 days straight. Hope you’re feeling better! I love putting mangoes in my green smoothies!! 🙂
Finally feeling much better!! The canned soup diet is never any fun!! Thanks Joleen
I’m all about mangoes in my smoothie, this looks just perfect!
Yay! Thanks Laura!
LOVE the addition of maca here! I’ve been toying around with how to use it and this is great idea!
Thaank you!!
