Spicy Honey Mustard Pretzel Chicken Fingers.
Keeping things fun and easy with these baked Spicy Honey Mustard Pretzel Chicken Fingers. They’re seasoned with homemade honey mustard, breaded in salty pretzel crumbs, oven baked, then dipped in a spicy-hot honey sauce, followed up with a cooling ranch. These are the “grown up” version of chicken fingers…that kids love too. And yes, they’re even healthier (these tenders are baked, not fried), and so much tastier. Serve with oven baked french fries and veggies for an easy dinner that’s different, sweet and spicy, and full of flavor.

So what do you do when life tells you to stay and home and work with what’s in your pantry? You make chicken fingers…breaded in pretzel crumbs…and you serve them with your favorite spicy honey sauce. At least that’s what I do. When you don’t have a lot to work with, you gotta try and make the best of what you got. And these chicken fingers are some of the best I’ve made.
Tangy from the honey mustard glaze, salty from the pretzel coating, and sweet from the spicy honey sauce, these flavors are hard to beat. Not only are these chicken fingers fun to eat, but they’re pretty easy too! Perfect for a quarantined Wild Wednesday night.

The story.
If you look back through past HBH recipes, you’ll see a handful of chicken finger and popcorn chicken recipes. There’s also my beloved (and popular) southern hot honey chicken as well. Yes, breaded chicken recipes are big favorites in my family. Personally, I love to bake the chicken fingers…and then add plenty of sauces for dipping. They’re so good, fun, and a nice switch up from the average weeknight dinner. You know?
But these chicken fingers are extra special, they’re a mash-up of a few oldie recipes I’ve shared in year’s past. For those of you who’ve been following along all the way back since the start of HBH (in 2012). You might remember that I once shared a pretzel crusted chicken salad with honey mustard. For whatever reason, as I was staring at the back of a pretzel bag I had in the pantry, I thought back to that chicken. And then, I knew I was making pretzel coated chicken fingers. I mean why not? I had frozen chicken tenders in the freezer. What else would I make with those two ingredients? It was a no brainer.
From there, I added the seasonings, plus the spicy honey sauce. In less than a few hours, I had these pretzel chicken fingers perfected. From there, I sent photos to my older brother Creighton, who loves chicken fingers more than anyone I know. Wishing he could have been here to enjoy them. Very much missing the rest of the family these days.
Creighton loved the photos and said to freeze some for his next trip out to Colorado.

The steps.
To start, mix up the honey mustard and toss it with trimmed chicken tenders. The honey mustard is our flavor and our “glue” that helps adhere the pretzel crumbs onto the chicken tenders.
Next, finely crush the pretzels into crumbs to bread the chicken. The finely crushed pretzels are key. They flavor the chicken with the perfect amount of salt, which pairs wonderfully with the sweet and tangy honey mustard.
Tip? Pulse the pretzels in the food processor to really break them down into a fine crumb. If you don’t have a food processor, just add the pretzels to a ziplock bag, then step on the bag with your feet to finely crush them. Trust me, this works. You can even just use the actual pretzel bag and step on that. It’s what dad used to do when he’d make potato chip chicken when I was a kid. This trick is an oldie but a goodie.
Next, bake the chicken in the oven until it crisps all over. My secret is to gently dab/brush the chicken with olive oil before it bakes. This helps the coating to really crisp up nicely in the oven. You can’t skip this step, it’s crucial.

On to the sauce.
No chicken finger is complete without a dipping sauce…our two. In this family, you can never have enough sauce.
So first…the Spicy Honey Sauce. It’s inspired by the famous Nashville Hot Chicken and it’s the same sauce I use on my southern oven fried chicken. It’s spicy, but balanced with a touch of sweetness. The classic way to add sweetness to this spicy sauce is with brown sugar, but I prefer using honey for better flavor and texture.
In addition to the spicy honey sauce, I wanted to pair the fingers with something cooling…
Enter the cool ranch. I like to simply mix up a quick homemade ranch, but you can easily use your favorite store-bought ranch too. I like to use both sauces. Then you get a little buttery sweet and spicy sauce mixed in with a little creamy cooling ranch.
It is SO GOOD!

Once the chicken is done cooking, serve it up along with the sauces. I like to add these Tuscan style fries. If you’re going to do a chicken finger night, you might as well add the fries. Hey, this is quarantine life, we have to try to make some fun. Plus, just like the chicken, these fries are baked, not fried.
To sum things up, the chicken is a touch tangy and perfectly salted. The sauce is spicy, yet buttery. Put everything together and you’ll have tangy, salty, sweet, and spicy chicken fingers. So much (really) good flavor.
The best part about this recipe is that you’ll hopefully be able to find all of the ingredients in your pantry and your freezer. With such a large family, I always try to keep chicken tenders in the freezer at all times. They thaw much quicker than chicken breasts, and they make for a great last-minute protein source. The rest of the ingredients are all taken from the pantry shelves… honey, mustard, spices, and dried herbs.
Simple and easy!

Lastly, if you make these spicy honey mustard pretzel chicken fingers, be sure to leave a comment and/or give this recipe a rating! Above all, I love to hear from you guys and always do my best to respond to each and every comment. And of course, if you do make this recipe, don’t forget to tag me on Instagram! So many exciting tidbits in this recipe! Pretzel crusted chicken salad!? Spicy Honey Sauce!? Homemade ranch!?
Haha thank you Erin! I hope you try this! xTieghan
This was amazing!!!!!
Thank you Suz! xTieghan
Love this recipe! Perfect timing for me too! I’ve been waiting to hit the store to get some bread crumbs and in the meantime I have pretzel chips that will work perfectly for this! Question tho… All I have is vanilla yogurt. My first thought was, no that’s gross, but on second thought… maybe delicious?! Any other sub suggestions?
Hi Lindsay,
Vanilla yogurt might give a little bit of a funny taste. If you have coconut cream that will work or you can do an additional tablespoon of mustard! I hope you love the recipe! xTieghan
Is plain Greek yogurt ok?
Hi May! Yes, that will work great! I hope you love this recipe! xTieghan
Looks so good! Love all your recipes on your blog and both cookbooks. Do you think these would work in the air fryer? Thanks!
Hi Kristi! I have not tried it, but if you do please let me know how they turn out! xTieghan
These look so yummy! I can’t wait to make them tonight! Any thoughts on using an air fryer instead of baking?
Hi Britni,
I haven’t tested these in an air fryer but they should turn out nicely. I hope you enjoy the recipe! xTieghan
for the pretzel chicken, I have chicken breasts in the freezer, can I use them if I slice them?
Yes of course! I would defrost before using though! I hope you love this recipe, Judy! xTieghan
Are the frozen chickens tenders you keep in your freezer breaded or plain? If breaded do you just put the honey mustard and pretzel over it?
Hi Debbie! The ones that I keep are plain! Please let me know if you have any other questions! xTieghan
Although we found the sauce to be just too honey forward gor is, the actual chicken was amazing. Of course I did not have enough pretzels, so I added the remainder of the potatoes chip crumbs and some panko. Spice mixture worked perfectly. Perfect cook time and temp. So tasty!
Hi Sharon! I am so glad you enjoyed this chicken! Thank you so much for trying it! xTieghan
This was so good! I didn’t have pretzels, so subbed panko. The spicy honey is a must! I don’t even like mustard, but loved this. It’s definitely going in my regular rotation.
Thank you so much Melanie! So glad this turned out so well for you! xTieghan
So so good and so quick and easy!! I cut the recipe in half easily and halved the cayenne to decrease the heat, and it was perfect!
Thank you so much! I am so glad this turned out so well for you! xTieghan
This was delicious and super easy! My hub loves the sauce. I’m going to try in the AirFryer next….
Thank you so much Emily! I am so glad you loved this!
Why can’t you give credit to Jessica of How Sweet Eats for the recipe ?She posted these a couple of months ago!
Hey Tammy,
If credit was due I would have given it, but I know nothing about what you are talking about. If you look back on my site from many years back you will see that this recipe is an adaption of not 1, not 2, but 3 of my very own recipes (links are all below for you). I am sure Jessica’s recipe is amazing, but this is a recipe I created, tested, and then shared with my community. I think it is important to remember that I am person behind the screen. I work really hard on my content day in and day out. If you don’t like the content, you simply do not need to view it. I really hope this clears everything up for you. Let me know if I can answer anymore of your questions. Have a wonderful Saturday! x

Am eating this recipe right now and it is AMAZING!!! I’m trying to rely on what I have on hand right now and this was perfect. My family is so picky, so when everyone likes it you know it’s good!!! Thank you for sharing with us!
Yes!! So glad you all enjoyed this recipe Tina! Thank you so much for trying it! xTieghan
So flavorful and the dipping sauces turned out great! My only wondering is ho to get these to be more crispy. I did the olive oil drizzle, but they were soggy in places and kind of crispy in others.
Hi Jill,
So glad you enjoyed the recipe! I would recommend the drizzle of olive oil and then try flipping them halfway through the baking process and add more olive oil. I hope this helps! xTieghan
We really enjoyed this recipe – a nice change from my usual Southern fried tenders. The pretzels I had were not as salty as I would have liked. next time, I will be sure to use Rold Gold.
I hope you love it more with Rold Gold, Sheran! But, I am glad these still turned out well! xTieghan
Delicious. I made them but substituted bread crumbs for the pretzel mixture because I’m lazy and they were so good! Thank you!!
Thank you so much Virginia! I am so glad this turned out so well for you! xTieghan
These were fantastic! Make sure to make ALL the sauces and the homemade fries!
Thank you Sandra! xTieghan
I asked about the vanilla yogurt… I ended up trying it and IT WAS DELICIOUS!! My husband doesn’t love pretzels and even he thought these were really really good. And that spiced honey butter… OMG. I want to put that on everything!! Thanks Tieghan!
Thank you Lindsey! That is so amazing to hear! xTieghan
Two cups before or after crushing?
Hi Olivia! After crushing! I hope you love this recipe! xTieghan
Thanks for sharing, how do you get the bottoms to not be soggy?? Or completely get left on parchment paper. The top crunchy parts were really good.
Hi Kristen,
So sorry about that! Next time I would recommend flipping the chicken halfway through baking to avoid this. Thanks for giving the recipe a try! Please let me know if you have any other questions! xTieghan
Made this tonight and it was delish! We might’ve gotten our pretzels too fine because they didn’t crisp up as much as we would’ve liked and the bottom got a bit soggy so we’d have to change that up next time but flavors were really good. The spicy honey sauce was really good and we put it with the ranch and it was perfect flavoring. We would definitely make it again but would need to change up how to make the chicken tenders a bit crispier.
Hi Taylor! Thank you so much! I am so glad this turned out so well for you! I hope you are staying well! xTieghan
Such an interesting combo of flavors and textures! This wasn’t my favorite recipe, though the quality of my chicken wasn’t what I’d normally like (thanks, coronavirus) and I don’t think I crushed the pretzels finely enough. If I made again I might do more powdery pretzels and a honey mustard dipping sauce.
Hi Abbie! Thank you for trying this! I hope you love it more with some other pretzels! Please let me know if you have any questions! xTieghan
Just made these, they were delicious! I’d make them for a party appetizer— maybe bite sized?
Hi Suzie,
So glad you enjoyed the recipe and thanks for trying them! You could absolutely make these bite size, sounds like a great idea! Please let me know if you have any other questions! xTieghan
These were so good! My boyfriend loved the hot honey sauce. The only thing is that they didn’t get very crispy. I topped with olive oil before going into the oven but they came out a bit soggy and not very crispy. Maybe too much honey mustard mix on the chicken? I’d love some tips so I can make them perfect next time- thanks!
Thank you so much Allie! I am so glad this turned out so well for you! xTieghan
Any chance we could deep fry these instead of baking? I made french fries in the deep fryer yesterday and would love to have another use for the oil.
Hi Laura,
I have not tested this recipe in a deep fryer but I don’t see why it wouldn’t work! I hope you love the recipe, please let me know if you have any other questions! xTieghan
My family loved this! Made it last night for dinner and they had the leftovers for lunch. Thank you!
Thank you so much Janet! xTieghan
I would love to make these tonite but I don’t have any Dijon mustard. Can I use ground mustard instead?
Hi Kelly! Yes, that should work well! I hope you love this! xTieghan
recipe
Used about half the cayenne & thought they were plenty hot. Delicious sauce with diverse flavors, sweet, hot & smokey. Would recommend!
Thank you so much Cam! xTieghan
I made this last night for the 6 of us and everyone loved it. I turned out so crispy and tender on the inside. The sauce is to die for!! Buttery with some nice heat to it, perfect for dipping. I will definitely make it again as it was super easy,.
Thank you so much Linda! I am so glad this turned out so well for you all! I hope you are staying well! xTieghan
Ah – ma – zing! That is it.
Thank you Sarah! xTieghan
Flavor was great, texture was lacking. I call BS on the picture, there’s no way they got that uniform golden brown crisp by baking, even brushed with olive oil. They fried them suckers. They weren’t quite firm enough to pick up and dip like your standard chicken fingers, we ended up going fork and knife on ’em…but they were very tasty, I’ll probably make them again.
The spicy honey butter was AMAZING and super easy to make, I’ll have to remember that for other things. Waffles and such.
Hi Ian! I am glad you liked these chicken fingers! The photos are not BS, and it is just me here creating these recipes. If you have any questions, I would love to help you out! Thank you! xTieghan
The spicy honey mustard pretzel chicken was amazing! I have 2 young kiddos, and I cannot begin to tell you how amazing it was to only have to cook one meal for dinner; they went nuts for the chicken! They loved it plain, with mustard and also with ranch. My husband said it may be one of his favorite dishes I’ve ever made, which is saying something, because I cook constantly! He said the spicy honey butter and crunchy chicken checked all of his fried chicken boxes, and even calmed his craving for wings.
This is the first hbh recipe I have made, and I will definitely be making more! This was super fast, easy, and ingredients were incredibly accessible, especially during quarantine.
Hi Beth! I am really glad this recipe turned out so well for you! I hope you continue to enjoy other recipes of mine! I also hope you are staying well! xTieghan
This sounds wonderful! Beginner’s question here: what is the benefit of using parchment paper? I don’t have any on hand. Would you recommend a nonstick pan instead, or does the paper really make much of a difference? (I’ve never used it at all before.) Excited to start trying your recipes!
Hi Emily! I use it and do not use oil on the pan then! I also like the way it comes out with it! It is not necessary, so if you do not have just omit! I hope you love this recipe! xTieghan
This honey mustard! It’s my new go to in general, let alone combined with the rest of this!
Thank you so much Ashley! xTieghan
These are soo delicious…. love all your recipes… I love this one because it tastes good but also because the ingredients are things I have in my pantry. The spicy honey sauce is amazing. I didn’t have the Cheyenne so I use chipotle power instead.
Amazing! I am so glad you liked this and others of mine! Thank you Anna! xTieghan
I made these for dinner tonight and OMG I was blown away. I was so worried about them coming out soggy but they turned out amazing. My boyfriend said it’s going on the weekly dinner rotation. A must try !!!
So amazing to hear! Thank you so much Brielle! xTieghan
These were great! My husband could not eat them fast enough. I used homemade mustard instead of Dijon, because that’s what I had on hand. Very easy and came together quickly. Thank you, we will make these again!
Haha that is so amazing! Thank you so much for trying this Kirsten! xTieghan
This recipe was easy and delicious!!
Thank you so much Victoria! I am so glad this turned out so well for you! xTieghan
I was so happy to see a recipe that didn’t include an egg wash. I’ve never thought of using yogurt. I did have some substitutions due to food allergies. I used cashew yogurt and gluten free pretzels,. We did attempt using the air fryer, and cooking in batches, made the tenders at 390 for 9 minutes and they were perfect. A great recipe and i’m excited to utilize the yogurt base for coatings in other recipes!
Hi Bre! I am really glad this one turned out so well for you! Thank you so much for trying this recipe! xTieghan
tried it last night, amazing! we already had mikes hot honey so we didn’t make it (basically the same ingredients) but dipping the chicken in that was amazing! Second recipe of yours we made this week and both very delicious!
That is so amazing to hear! Thank you so much Katherine! xTieghan
Hi Tieghan,
A quick question on the black pepper, which I love! Does a tsp get mixed in with the pretzels or a pinch?
Also, any suggestions should we not have any onion or garlic powder on hand?
So glad for your wonderful recipes these days!
Sarah
Hi Sarah! You can use either, depending on how much pepper you like! Also, for the garlic you can substitute minced garlic and for the onion I would use 1/3 cup of chopped onion. I hope you love this! Please let me know if you have any other questions! xTieghan
I will be trying this tonight! But I do have a question… every time I bread something, I feel like the breading never sticks extremely well. I have done many different types of breading (‘flour, egg, breadcrumbs’, wet batters, making sure the item is as dry as possible before breading, etc). Am I making sense? haha anyway.. any tips of helping your breading stick? Thanks 🙂
Hi Katie! I hope you love this recipe! I usually push the chicken down with my knuckles to get the breading to hold on better.. Before baking if you have any pretzels left, you can use them on chicken that doesn’t have much. I hope this helps, but please let me know if you have any other questions! xTieghan
We made the Spicy Honey Mustard Chicken Fingers last night, Yum yhry were very good, thanks we’re enjoying all your recipes
Hi Pat! Thank you so much! I am so glad you liked these! xTieghan
These were incredible!!!! Made with the air fryer last night – 400 degrees for about 15 mins, turning halfway. Took a little longer for me since we took chicken breasts (which were on the bigger side) and sliced into tenders. Sooooo good and the sauce was perfection. Thanks for another delicious recipe!
Thank you Lily! I am really glad these turned out so well for you! xTieghan
Can the meat be “marinated” in the honey mustard sauce ahead of time?
Hi Monica,
Yes, you could do this up to 24 hours in advance! I hope you love the recipe, please let me know if you have any other questions! xTieghan
Ok so based on the comments I read I tried to very lightly drizzle them with oil, flipped them half way through, and cooked them on a cast iron instead hoping they would crisp up. I don’t think any of this really worked and I think what I would do next time is just not use oil at all. I noticed that the ends were the crispiest which was where I tended to forget to make sure to get the oil all the way to end. So unless you have an oil spritzer I honestly think no oil is the move.
In terms of the sauce, the spicy honey sauce was very good but for me mustard and pretzels are meant to be and no matter how good the honey sauce was I found my brain choosing what felt right haha.
Hi Abbey! I hope this recipe turns out better for you the next time you try it! Please let me know how it goes! xTieghan
I’m so excited to try this chicken tonight and just wanted to drop a quick note to let you know that your recipes are CARRYING me through COVID quarantine! The recipe page for your browned butter chocolate chip cookies in my Super Simple cookbook is covered in smears of butter and chocolate.
xoxo, McKenna from Dallas
Aw! Hi McKenna! That is so amazing to hear! I am glad you are having a good time making them! I hope you are staying well! xTieghan
So easy to prep and SO GOOD!! We didn’t have pretzels on hand so we used crushed corn flakes instead. So yummy, and the hot honey sauce was a perfect kick without being too hot. Can’t wait to make again!
Hi Kathy! I am so glad this one turned out so well for you! I hope you continue to love this and others! Also, hope you are staying healthy and safe! xTieghan
These were awesome!!! Honestly, way better than I even expected, having done similar recipes before without much success. For review-scrollers like me who want deets, here’s what I did: I mostly followed the recipe exactly, but used what I had on hand and made a few tweaks based on my preferences/experience. I used 3 chicken breasts, pounded them to a uniform thickness of ~3/4 inch, and cut each into ~6-8 strips. I seasoned the chicken with a little S&P and garlic powder. I used half nonfat Greek yogurt and half olive oil mayo in the coating mixture, because I’m indecisive lol. I had pretzel sticks on hand, and they took a while to crunch down to remotely small enough, so i added some Panko to fill in, and I added a little salt to the dredging mix along with the listed spices. I used silpats and wire racks on my pans because I’m terrified of soggy-bottom chicken, haha. I baked ~10 tenders per sheet and flipped halfway through, and I used olive oil spray because #lazy. My oven usually runs hot, but I baked these for closer to the max time because I wanted as much browning as possible and I don’t mind slightly overcooked chicken. Mine didn’t get quite as brown as the photos, but they looked pretty good, and tasted even better! I sprinkled with flaky salt, and alternated dipping between the hot honey and ranch. I could’ve made my honey spicier (or maybe my cayenne is just years old, that’s more likely :)). THANKS, so excited to have a great oven-baked crunchy chicken recipe!!
Hi Sammie! I am so happy that this turned out so well for you! Thank you so much for trying this recipe and sharing some suggestions! xTieghan
So so good. That honey sauce is everything!
Thank you so much Emily! xTieghan
Hi Tieghan! So excited to try these – curious if anyone has tried to air fry these?
Hi Kayla! I have not tested it in the air fryer, but others have and had success. Please let me know if you have any other questions! xTieghan
Tieghan – I can completely understand why the is one of your favorites. Another home run from you. I was skeptical about the honey sauce, but wow was it delicious. I struggled to get my pretzels crushed fine (time for a new food processor), so the coating was a little chunky but so delicious. I used breasts cut into strips and it was perfect. Thank you again for another amazing recipe.
P.S. I admire your grace when dealing with people who find it easy to criticize and accuse from the safety and anonymity of their computer. One good thing that came out of it, I found your recipe for Spicy Honey Mustard in one of the links you shared. Can’t wait to try it 🙂
Hi Stephanie! I am so glad this one ended up turning out so well for you! Thank you so much! I hope you continue to love this and others of mine! xTieghan
Made these tonight and they were delicious! Sprayed with olive oil and flipped half way through and they were sooooo good!
Thank you so much Kim! xTieghan
This recipe is amazing! The chicken was delicious and so tender! I loved the honey mustard sauce so much that I think next time I will make extra to serve as a dipping sauce. The spicy honey sauce was also a perfect pairing with these. We are definitely adding them to our regular dinner rotation.
Thank you so much Marlee! I am really glad this recipe turned out so well for you! I hope you continue to enjoy my recipes! xTieghan
What an amazingly delish dinner!!! The hot honey butter….dear me. It was drizzled all over everything!!! So tasty. The chicken was super tender (had It in yogurt marinade all day) and the kids hoovered it all up!!! Ran out of pretzels halfway thru breadibg so some crushed tortilla chips were a tasty sub. Thanks for a family friendly delicious meal.
YES!! I am so glad this one turned out so well for you Bernadette! Thank you so much! xTieghan
I am going to try this tonight but I just realized that I don’t have onion powder. Is there anything else I can substitute or can I just skip that ingredient? Thanks!
Hi Marcia,
You can just leave that out. I hope you love the recipe, please let me know if you have any other questions! xTieghan
Oh my goodness! Another incredible recipe! Sooo delish! Going into monthly rotation for sure!
Yes! So glad you enjoyed this so much! Thank you Whitney! xTieghan
Made this yesterday for my mom’s birthday and it was a hit! We loved them. I tried the sauce and it was so spicy, so I only ate the chicken, which was still so good! Everyone else enjoyed the sauce so it all worked out! I’m sure I’ll be making this again! It was also incredibly easy! I’ve skimmed through a couple of recipes on here and the word ‘easy’ is said a lot. I used to think it wasn’t really that easy, but I’ve tried three amazing recipes from here and they are that easy! And so good! The crinkle-top brownies, a chocolate cake, and these are so good and so easy! I can’t stress it enough! If you have all the ingredients on hand, do yourself a favor and make one of the recipes! Thank you so much again for this amazing recipe!
Hi Maya! I am so glad these turned out so well and you have been loving my recipes! That is so amazing to hear! I hope you are all doing well! xTieghan
Hi, HBH!
I won’t be able to go to the store for a few days, but I have everything for this except for pretzels! (Not gonna name names, but SOMEONE in my house ate all the pretzels I had saved for this!!)
Do the pretzels totally take this recipe from regular chicken fingers to next level? Should I even bother making this with regular breadcrumbs/panko if I have everything else? Or just try and be patient and wait until I can get to the store.
Thank you!
Haha aw that is too funny! Honestly, I would try this with breadcrumbs and maybe the next time you will have pretzels available! During this time I just really encourage to use what you have available! I hope you love this Lauren! xTieghan
My family declared this our best meal of quarantine and I agree! My very picky 13 year old was fighting everyone for seconds. Thank you! Can’t wait to try more of your recipes.
Thank you so much Shari! I am really glad this turned out so well for you and your family! I hope you are all staying well! xTieghan
I’m trying these out tmw but don’t have any dijon! I have yellow and honey! -_-. Any advice?
Hi Naraly,
You can use whatever your favorite mustard is. I hope you love the recipe, please let me know if you have any other questions! xTieghan
My husband and I loved these… devoured them!
I made them in the air fryer and they came out crunchy on the outside and perfectly moist on the inside. The combo of flavors was amazing. We will make again and again… Thanks Tieghan!
Love to hear that!! Thank you so much for trying this recipe! xTieghan
I made these tonight and I plan on having these weekly until I am sick of them! The prep is very easy, as I finished right as my oven finished pre-heating. The ingredients are minimal and pantry-staples, so I did not need to make a special trip to the store. I’m also on weight watchers, and this recipe is very point-friendly. Highly recommend!
Haha that is so great! Thank you for trying this Mia! I hope you continue to love it! xTieghan
I do not understand why people have to be so ugly. Why can’t they just enjoy the blog and be positive? If Half Naked Harvest had not given us this wonderful recipe, I may not have ever seen it. Some people have such a desire to be recognized, they will do or say anything to receive attention. They don’t care who they hurt in the process. You should think before you start typing your comments, ask yourself, “Will this hurt someone?”, Will my comments possibly be taken the wrong way? If so, be a good person and don’t send!
Hi Vickie! Yes, I completely agree with you. Over the internet it seems like people do not think an actual human is reading that comment, but they’re wrong. I hope that you are having a wonderful week and continue to! Thank you! xTieghan
Spicy honey sauce is my new favorite thing, but I might stick to buying chicken tenders. The pretzel coating did not stick to the chicken (which is my usual problem with homemade fried and “fried” chicken). But! All is not lost! I will chop up the leftover tenders and toss them on top of spinach and add some veggies for a yummy salad. The pretzels can serve as “croutons”.
Hi Emily! I am sorry these did not turn out as expected! Please let me know if there is anything I can help with! Also, love that you are turning it into a salad! YES! xTieghan
Love! So delish and so easy to make
Thank you so much Rach! I am glad you like this! xTieghan
Needed something different for the chicken I had defrosted for dinner. We loved this recipe and the sauce was very tasty too! Your pictures are incredible as are all your recipes that I have tried. Thank you.
Aw thank you so much Maria! I am so glad this recipe turned out so well for you! xTieghan
This was a huge favorite tonight for dinner! I will definitely be making this again. It came together so quickly. The pretzels are such a great idea. I never have the cereal that some baked chicken recipes use but I do have pretzels! It smells great, I thought the kids wouldn’t like it but they asked for seconds. Yummy recipe!
Thank you so much Felishia! I am really glad you all enjoyed this one! xTieghan
While we’ve been eating really well at home, after a month of isolation, my family is missing going out to a restaurant, so this recipe helped fill the void. It was like a night out at a pub with amped up chicken fingers. Crunchy, sweet and spicy and paired really well with your sweet potato parmesan tater tots. My only change was using sriacha in the sauce instead of cayenne because I find the spice level a little easier to control. Thanks again!
I am really glad this helped you all out! And turned out so well! Thank you for trying this Raewyn! xTieghan
Can I use chicken breasts Panko crumbs and regular mayo in this recipe? I have olive oil I can add to the mayo. Just trying to use what I have in my pantry.
Hi Darian! Yes, I think all of those will work great! I would suggest cutting the breasts in half so they are more tender size! Please let me know if you have any other questions! xTieghan
Made these today. I am gluten and dairy free so used gf pretzels and coconut yogurt. They were fabulous. My husband loves his chicken fingers and says…..best ever!
Thank you so much for trying this Catherine! I am really glad it turned out so well for you! xTieghan
I was really excited to make these but they didn’t seem to turn out right. The breading was soggy/new got crispy and stuck to the bottom of the pan. Does anyone know why this might of been?
Hi Mackenzie,
So sorry you had issues with the recipe. Next time I would recommend drizzling with olive oil, this is key, and flipping the chicken halfway through baking. Please let me know if you have any other questions! xTieghan
Made this recipe last night with a few tweaks. It is incredible delicious! Thank you so much for this! It was a hit with the whole family!
Coat tenders in seasoned flour [1 C flour, 1 tsp onion powder, 1 tsp garlic powder] before you dip in honey mustard mixture
Add 3 eggs to mustard, yogurt, and honey for dredge.
Add 1/2 cup panko to pretzel coating, helps everything crisp a little more!
Air Fry tenders @ 350 for 14 minutes. Turn at 7 minutes.
Phenomenal!
Hi! I am really glad this turned out so well for you!! Also, thank you for showing how you did it in the air fryer! xTieghan
Can you make marinate the chicken in the yogurt, honey, mustard mixture ahead of time and then bread it and cook it the next day?
Hi Lauren,
You can absolutely do this! I hope you love the recipe, please let me know if you have any other questions! xTieghan
This was perfect recipe for the comfort food meal we were planning. I love how very easy it is to make. I appreciated that I didn’t have to buy anything to make this, it is a great combination of staples I already have. The sauce is very flavorful and with quite a kick, but it really enhanced the flavor of the chicken fingers so I couldn’t do without it! Thank you for sharing this!
Thank you Stephanie! I am so glad this turned out so well for you! xTieghan
Made this for dinner last night and was amazed. Not only were the chicken tenders nice and crispy, which I have had a hard time succeeding with in the past, but the spicy honey dipping sauce was on another level. Highly recommend this recipe!
Thank you so much Sara! I am really glad this recipe turned out so well for you! xTieghan
We don’t like mustard in our house. Any substitutes?
Hi Alison,
Just leave the mustard out. I hope you love the recipe, please let me know if you have any other questions! xTieghan
That was a very nice one! I have made some pieces with olive oil like in the recipe and some withou just to try. I liked the ones without a little more, they got crispier.
I was cooking the chicken on a rack, because I assumed that the coat can get soggy. Mine were turned out crispy.
The sauce was good, but I think some acidity would be nice (to balance it out).
Ketchup was also great there.
Thank you so much! I am really glad these turned out crispy and delicious! xTieghan
SO SO GOOD…. I love all your stuff.. This was easy and amazing. I have made about 20plus of your recipes. Keep posting and I will keep cooking…
Haha I will keep posting! I am so glad you have been loving my recipes! I hope you continue to! Thank you Mary! xTieghan
I made this tonight and it is as delish as it sounds! I only used a pound of chicken and was running out of the pretzel mix by the last piece so maybe I measured wrong, but it wouldn’t hurt to add a little extra. I also reserved a bit of the honey-mustard-yogurt mix before dredging to use as a dipping sauce. Yum! Will definitely make again. The best part? No chopping! Thank you <3
Yes!! Thank you so much Jeannie!! I hope you continue to enjoy my recipes! xTieghan
Ohhhhh my these are good. We cooked ours in the air fryer! 400 degrees for 12 minutes, flipped after 7. I may go slightly longer for slightly crispier but they were delicious as is. Not only am I keeping this recipe, it may go into my breakfast folder as the topping for chicken and waffles. Mother’s day breakfast may have to be hot honey + pretzel chicken + waffles 🙂
HAha I love that!! So glad this turned out so well for you! Thank you Tori! xTieghan
Made this recipe last night for dinner along with a chopped salad. It was a big hit with my family!!
Thank you so much Mary Jane! I am really glad this recipe turned out so well for all of you! xTieghan
THESE ARE AMAZING. I love your similar hot honey chicken recipe (breaded with cornflakes) but am shocked to report that I actually find these even tastier! The chicken really soaks up the honey mustard flavor and my tenders got so crispy! I was running too low on butter to make the hot honey sauce so just served alongside a simple kale salad with homemade avocado ranch and it was a great dinner!
Thank you so much Caroline! I am so happy these turned out so well for you! Thank you for trying! xTieghan
Ok wow. SO good. Made these with Trader Joe’s Honey Mustard and Onion Pretzel pieces and 10/10. In the words of my fiancé “this is the best dinner you’ve ever made” (paired with a kale salad and Chrissy Teigen’s buffalo blue cheese smashy potatoes). Can’t wait to play with this some more!
That is so great to hear! Thank you so much Amanda! xTieghan
This was our second recipe from HBH and let me tell you – this is AMAZING. Followed the recipe to a T and we gobbled up enough to leave us full and content after. Thank you for all these great recipes!
By the way – that spicy honey sauce is SO TASTY. Honestly, I could probably eat it solo.
I am so glad you have been loving my recipes, Heather! Thank you so much! I hope you continue to enjoy all of the recipes you try! xTieghan
These are soooo moist and tasty! This recipe is getting added to my ‘go-to’’s.
Love to hear that! Thank you so much Tanisha! xTieghan
My three kids were losing their minds over this. It’s so rare that I make a dinner that they all enjoy, so THANK YOU! One question: is the 2 cups of pretzels measured before or after crushing them? I wasn’t sure so I just eyeballed it, but ended up running out halfway and making more. Thanks again, Tieghan!
Hi Lindsey,
So glad your family has been enjoying this recipe. I usually measure out the two cups before crushing, but sometimes I end up needing more. Please let me know if you have any other questions! xTieghan
Absolutely yummy and fun to make. a hit with the entire family. Making it for the third time in one week. 😳😂 Thanks for another great family pleasing, not boring, meal! ❤️
Thank you Kelly!! I am so glad this recipe turned out so well for you! xTieghan
THIS RECIPE IS FABULOUS‼️ EASY TO MAKE AND FULL OF FLAVOR…A HIT & A KEEPER‼️ SOOOO GOOD‼️ THANK YOU‼️
Thank you Kristen!! xTieghan
Quick and easy, delicious and casual, all my kids love it! On regular rotation here now
Love to hear that! Thank you so much Melissa! xTieghan
Hi there!
Made this tonight and the flavor was amazing but the pretzels were spongy instead of crispy/crunchy. The texture was as if they were stale, but it was a newly opened bag of pretzels. After 15 minutes of baking, the chicken was fully cooked (checked it with a meat thermometer) but pretzels were still pretty soft. Any idea what I’m doing wrong??
Hi Abbey,
So sorry you had issues with the pretzels. My guess is you may not have crushed them enough and you needed to drizzle more olive oil on before baking. Please let me know how I can help! xTieghan
Another winner! And so quick and easy- love the pretzel/sweet/salty flavors!
Thank you so much May! xTieghan
Great flavor! We aren’t a spicy family, but enjoyed these without the sauce. My family is very picky, but I knew these were a hit when I said I had to make chicken for dinner and my daughter said, “Pretzel chicken???” I rarely get requests for most of my recipes. Thanks for a great one!
Wow that is so great!! Thank you so much for trying this one, Angela! xTieghan
I am allergic to dairy, would soy free vegenaise work in place of the yogurt? Or should I try a vegan yogurt? What do you recommend? Thanks!
These are delicious! Even better with the sauce. Next time I will coat the chicken and have a separate dish for dredging Into the dry ingredients. I kind of mixed it on top and stirred into the coated chicken. It was tasty – I’ll dial back the mustered next time as my daughters not a huge fan.
Perfect! I am really glad this turned out so well for you, Tom! Thank you! xTieghan
I made these last night and OMG, they were good!! I’ve been trying more and more of your recipes and they do not disappoint!! 🤤
Thank you Jessica! xTieghan
We are huge fans of your Nashville hot chicken and of course, these chicken tenders turned out just as well! Love the recipe!
Thank you so much Sara! xTieghan
Love this recipe. I’ve made it a couple times now using tofu instead of chicken to make it vegetarian and its been great!
Thank you Alyson!! I am really glad this turned out so well for you! xTieghan
This recipe was easy and wonderful! Made ours in the air fryer instead of the oven and they came out great! Flavors were so tasty. Will probably make these once a week!!
Love that! Thank you so much for trying this Joi! xTieghan
Made with gluten free pretzels and they were AMAZING! We are in search of the best honey mustard sauce and this was my first try- very tasty!
Love that! That is so amazing Cathy! xTieghan
My whole family loved this! Will be a weeknight favorite from now on. We didn’t have dijon mustard but had some jalapeño mustard in the pantry and it worked amazing 😊 thank you for this quick and super yummy recipe
Thank you Christie! xTieghan
Just made these tonight with sweet potatoe fries and zucchini patties
Thank you so much Marie! I am really glad this turned out so well for you! xTieghan
Made this tonight, easy and so delicious. Thank you for another inspired recipe! I only made 1/2 recipe and it came out perfectly.
Love that! Thank you os much Luanne! xTieghan
WOW…so good. Made this today and will make it again and again.
Love that! Thank you so much Donna! xTieghan
This was such an easy and delicious recipe!! Thank you!
Thank you so much Jessica! xTieghan
The HOT honey is amazing! I made leftover chicken into salad n a little hot honey for dressing or I like adding it to even burrito bowls..so so good
Thank you Lesley!! I am really glad these turned out so wonderful for you! xTieghan
Was SOOOO good! Added to our roster of “must make again!”
Thank you so much Jess! xTieghan
Very good Second time making it
Thank you Marie! xTieghan
Easy and delicious! Definitely has a kick. Next time I’ll try them with ranch.
Thank you so much Amy! xTieghan
Hey there! I am a big fan of you and this recipe! I have made it a few times and it’s always come out very tasty, but it’s almost never crispy, do you have any thoughts on what I might be missing?
Thank you!
Hey Caroline,
Thanks for giving the recipe a try. The key to the crispiness is to drizzle with olive oil and then you can also turn the chicken halfway through baking. I hope this helps! xTieghan
Hi! I have tried this and LOVED it! I am going for it again tonight to make for 9 people. I have two questions:
1. Can I get the chicken all breaded in the honey mustard and pretzel crumbs a few hours in advance, or will that result in less crispy chicken?
2. Can I fry these in a pan in oil rather than bake? If so, how long would you recommend per side and what heat?
Thank you for all your creative, delicious recipes!
Hey Claire,
You could absolutely assemble these ahead of time. I have not tried frying these, I am afraid the pretzel would get soggy. I hope you love the recipe, please let me know if you have any other questions! xTieghan
These were so good and the spicy honey sauce was phenomenal! Pretty quick and easy recipe to make for a week night meal. I would recommend crushing the pretzels as small as possible – it seems like the bigger the pieces, the more the crust fell off. Overall great flavor and will be making again
Thank you so much Natalie! I am really glad this recipe turned out so well for you! xTieghan
Amazing! I have made chicken strips in the oven many times and they’ve never been this crispy! I love the pretzel coating 🙂
Thank you so much Jordyn! I am really glad you enjoyed this recipe! xTieghan
My husband says this is the best chicken he has had with that spicy honey sauce. Success and yummo!
Thank you so much Kalin! xTieghan
The spicy honey butter sauce was great (bet it would be great drizzled on cornbread)! But, as many have mentioned, the chicken was far from crispy. That’s to be expected with oven-baked chicken though. If I made these again, I’d definitely pan fry them in olive oil instead. Nice flavor, but texture is important wit this recipe.
Hey Courtney,
Thanks for giving the recipe a try, so sorry the chicken was not crispy for you, let me know if I can help in anyway! xTieghan
Yummmm, that spicy honey sauce. I want to pour that on everything now. Thanks for another great recipe!
Hey Jennifer,
I am so glad you enjoyed the recipe, thanks so much for giving it a try! xTieghan
These were great! The dipping sauce was the perfect complement. This is the second one of your recipes I have made this week and have a list of many more to make. Thank you!
Hey Kelly,
I am so glad you enjoyed the recipe as well as the dipping sauce, thanks so much for giving it a try! xTieghan
Great recipe! I couldn’t get them to really brown… should I have flipped them? I did have two sheets of the fingers in the oven and don’t have a convection setting. Could either of those be it? Thanks!
Hey Katie,
Thanks for trying the recipe, I am sorry you had issues with browning them. Next time, I would flip halfway and then be sure to drizzle with olive oil. I hope this helps! xTieghan
These are so good. We’ve made them at least four times now. My two year old never really liked chicken until he ate these. Buttery honey sauce?! So genius! Thank you!
Hey Emily,
I am so glad the recipe was enjoyed, thanks so much for trying it out! Happy Sunday! xTieghan
Today I almost decided to order dinner out instead of making this recipe. So glad I decided not to. This was so quick and fantastic. We didn’t even use the ranch dressing. So tasty and great texture! Thank you Tieghan!
Hey Nal,
Thank you so much for making the recipe. I am thrilled that it was enjoyed! xTieghan
Excellent! Loved by all in the household!!
Hey Stacy,
I am so glad you liked the recipe, thanks for giving it a go! Happy Sunday! xTieghan
Very good – the sauce is amazing. I couldn’t get the pretzels to stick to the chicken. I did press them on but they still came right off. Any suggestions? Thanks!
Hey Diane,
Thanks so much for giving the recipe a try, I am so glad it was enjoyed! Sorry you have issues with the pretzels, I am wondering if the pieces were too big? Happy Sunday! xTieghan
OMG! My husband made this for me tonight and it is SO GOOD!!! Stop everything and make it now. Husband and toddler friendly!
Hey Helen,
Thanks so much for making the recipe, I am so glad it was enjoyed! xTieghan
The flavors were amazing! I’d definitely make this again, especially the spicy honey sauce. The only issue I had was some of the crust not staying on and my chicken not looking as good as the picture.
Hey Chris,
Thanks so much for giving the recipe a try. I am so glad that it was enjoyed!! xTieghan
Hello! How long would you recommend baking these in an air fryer? Thanks!
Hey Zoe,
Sorry I have not tested these in an air fryer, although I do think it would work well. I hope you love the recipe. Let me know how it turns out! xTieghan
These are ABSOLUTELY delicious! I made them with gluten free pretzels and they were a CROWD PLEASER!!! Thank you so much for making so many amazing recipes. The sauce also really adds that extra something. This will be a family favorite for sure! YOU ROCK!
Hey Rachel,
I am so thrilled that you enjoyed the recipe, thanks so much for trying it out!! xTieghan
So good! It was perfect all together! Definitely making again!
Thanks so much Jillian! xTieghan
Is there a way to make these in the air fryer?
Hey Julie Ann,
I have not made these in the air fryer so I am unsure on timing, but I do think it would work well. I hope you love the recipe, please let me know if you have any other questions! xTieghan
this sounds delish!! what kind of dijon mustard do you recommend using? the whole grain type or the creamy?
Hey Aurielle,
I would use creamy dijon mustard for this recipe. I hope you love them! xTieghan
Can you recommend how to make this without dairy? We keep kosher so don’t mix dairy and meat, but I want to make these 🙂
Hey Dana,
I would use a dairy free milk. I hope you love the recipe, please let me know if you have any other questions! xTieghan
Can I substitute something for the honey? Allergic to honey. Thank you
Hey Eileen,
You could use maple syrup in place of honey. I hope you love the recipe, please let me know if you have any other questions! xTieghan
Hi there! Making these for the super bowl. Can I prep them today and bake them tomorrow?
Hey Mia,
Yes, that would be fine to do. I hope you enjoy the recipe, let me know how it turns out! xTieghan
These are on frequent rotation in our house. The whole family loves them!
Hey Melanie,
Thanks so much for making the recipe, I am so glad it was enjoyed! Have a great week! xTieghan
Hi Tieghan!! Thanks for the awesome recipe. Quick question – do you start with breaded chicken tenders from the frozen section at the grocery store or are they not breaded?
Thank you 🙂 Madison
Hey Madson,
I do not use breaded chicken tenders, they are just plain raw tenders. I hope you love the recipe, please let me know if you have any other questions! xTieghan
I made this tonight and it was sooooo easy plus delicious! I paired it with some asparagus and it came out great!!! Thank you for sharing!!!
Hey Donna,
Thanks so much for making the recipe, I am delighted it was enjoyed! xTieghan
I make a lot of your recipes and this is one of my new favorites! My husband loves it too! The sauce is clutch. Thank you for sharing.
Hey Raquel,
Thanks so much for making the recipe, I am delighted it was enjoyed! xTieghan
Deliciously crispy and flavorful. Loved this easy recipe,
Hey Abigail,
Thanks a bunch for giving the recipe a try, I am so glad it was enjoyed! xTieghan
Good evening meal dish
Thanks Stephani! xTIeghan
Do you think this could work with tempeh or tofu?
Hey Anna,
I haven’t tested this, but I would give it a try! Let me know how it turns out! xTieghan
I made these for my family (3 year old, 28 YO husband, 22 YO sister and myself) and they were loved across the board. I served them with the sea salt and vinegar smashes potatoes. The sauce made a great addition to them as well! Highly recommend
Hey Jess,
I really appreciate you giving this recipe a try, I am so glad it was enjoyed.🌷 xTieghan
So delicious. I made this for dinner tonight and fiancé and I loved it. It’s super quick and easy to make which I love. The hot honey sauce honestly Maura the dish though. I could make just that and eat it with a spoon, it’s that good. I’ll definitely be making this again and probably using the hot honey sauce for other dishes as well.
Hey Samantha,
Thanks so much for making this recipe, I am delighted that it was enjoyed! xTieghan
I’m usually a really big fan of most recipes on here, but this one just didn’t do it for me 🙁 the sauce did make it better though
Hey April,
So sorry you did not enjoy the recipe, please let me know if I can help in anyway! xTieghan
Love this recipe! You mention you freeze them do you do freeze after they are baked or after they are breaded?
Hey Shelley,
That is so awesome this recipe was enjoyed, thanks for making it! I freeze after they are breaded. Happy Friday! xTieghan
Hi I made these tonight and they are awesome! Husband ate up with the spicy dipping sauce and the 4 year olds happily ate without. One question, if I were to bake on a wire rack set over a baking sheet, would the bottom also crisp up? I don’t want to change much because they were so tender and juicy. Not sure if the rack would dry them out?
Hey Lindsey,
Thanks so much for giving this recipe a try, I am so glad that it was enjoyed! Yes, that would work well! Have a great week:) xTieghan
I made these for dinner on Tuesday this past week. I didn’t remember to take a picture before they were all gone. I really appreciate the simplicity and deliciousness (is that even a word?) of your recipes. I recently ordered your second cookbook when it became available on Amazon.de and I’m very excited to put it to use.
Hey Erin,
Thanks so much for giving this recipe a try, I am so glad that it was enjoyed! Have a great week:) xTieghan
I’m so excited to make these! What can you sub for the pretzels and can you make them in advance?
Hey Shamyla,
You can use corn flakes or potato chips in place of the pretzels and yes you can assemble and keep in the fridge until you are ready to bake. I hope you love the recipe, please let me know if you have any other questions! xTieghan
Made these chicken fingers for a family that just adopted two middle school age children. Of course my husband and I had to sample them before we delivered them and they were very good. I will now have to make this for our grandchildren the next time they sleep over or we gather for a meal. I am sure they will become their fav as well.
Hey Carol,
I am delighted that this recipe was enjoyed, thanks so much for making it!! xTieghan
Hi! Made this tonight and the chicken was perfectly juicy and cooked but the pretzel crust was soggy on the bottom – any tips for how we can avoid that next time? Will definitely make again and loved the hot honey sauce. Thx for great recipes!
Hey Jillian,
So sorry to hear this, next time try flipping your chicken half way through baking. I hope this helps! xTieghan
These turned out GREAT. Really easy, great color, crunch and flavor. Turned out exactly as shown in your pictures. I popped them in the broiler for 30 seconds at the end to get a little extra color, but it really wasn’t even needed. Thanks for another great one! 🙂
Hey Liz,
I am so excited that this recipe was enjoyed, thanks a bunch for giving it a try! 💕Tieghan
This was outstanding. My only regret is that I Did not double it. I cut the chicken tenders into smaller pieces so they would be more like chicken nuggets. Because of this, I ran out of the pretzel mixture and had to make some more at the last minute. Next time I will double the recipe and even add a little more pretzel and spices. It was excellent on the salad as well as the next day just dipped in the honey mustard dressing.
Hey Shelley,
Thanks so much for making this recipe, I am so glad that it was enjoyed! xTieghan
Once again I am deceased. I have been following you since the beginning of time and make your recipes 1-3 times a week. This was fantastic. So much flavor and came out super crunchy!
Hey Alexis,
I am so glad that this recipe was enjoyed, thanks a bunch for making it! xxTieghan
My family really enjoyed these. I combined these with the salad you also posted but wanted to make the spicy honey sauce. My husband isn’t a big honey fan usually but enjoyed the spice in this honey.
Keep the recipes coming!
Hey Heather,
Fantastic!! I am thrilled that this recipe was enjoyed, thanks so much for making it! Happy Friday:) xTieghan
So good! I thought that sauce would tear me to shreds. A teaspoon of cayenne?! But it was fabulous! My husband loved the chicken. He kept asking where I got the recipe. Will make this again for sure!
Hey Kristi,
Fantastic!! I am thrilled that this recipe was enjoyed, thanks so much for making it! Happy Friday:) xTieghan
These were outstanding! My husband and I loved them! Can’t wait to make as an appetizer when we can finally entertain family!
Hey Carrie,
Wonderful!! I am so so glad that this recipe was enjoyed, thanks a lot for giving it a try! Happy Sunday! xTieghan
Good recipe. Chicken was tasty and everyone loved the sauce. I found spraying each tender with olive oil spray, was easiest. I flipped the tenders mid cycle and they were perfectly cooked. Thanks!
Hey Pam,
Thanks so much for giving this recipe a try, I am so glad it was enjoyed! Happy Monday! xTieghan
My guess LOVED this dish! The chicken was tender and flavorful and for a newbie chef I felt like it was just the right amount of work.
Hey Bailey,
Awesome! I am so glad this recipe was enjoyed, thanks a lot for making it! xTieghan
Halved the recipe to try out for just 2 of us and we loved it. I didn’t have chicken tenders so just cut up 2 boneless skinless breasts into strips. We used sour cream this time and may try the olive oil mayo next which we also have. The only thing I’d change is making double of the honey sauce! I drizzled it onto our finished chicken rather than using it for a dip. Would also consider adding some cayenne to the dredging mix because we like spicy. We didn’t make as a salad, just had the chicken with a side of rice. We never used a side ranch dressing (or I might try with blue cheese dressing). Good recipe and easy!
Hey Deb,
Happy Monday! I am so glad this recipe was enjoyed, thanks a bunch for making it! xTieghan
