Cinnamon Spiced Apple Fritters with Vanilla Coffee Glaze.
Welcoming Friday and the autumn apples with these Cinnamon Spiced Apple Fritters with Vanilla Coffee Glaze. Sweet Honeycrisp apples in a light and airy batter with warming fall spices, fried and coated with a sweet vanilla coffee glaze. If you’re heading out apple picking this fall, make these fritters. They’re easy to make and beyond delicious. Truly the ultimate fall treat.
Before we get into today’s post, I want to take a minute to acknowledge the importance of this date. Nineteen years ago today so many lives were forever changed by terrorist attacks. I know that a lot of memorial events have been canceled this year, but as Alice M. Greenwald, head of the 9/11 Memorial & Museum stated, “This year, its message of hope, endurance, and resilience are more important than ever,”.
So please take a moment to remember all those we lost, to have hope for our future, and to be grateful for all that we have.
Apples…
For me, September is all about the apples. I know many of you are looking for pumpkin recipes right now (which I can see by the number of people making last year’s chocolate chunk pumpkin cookies). But it’s my thinking that we’ve got all of October and November to embrace all things pumpkin, so let’s leave September for the apples.
Enter these fritters. Oh, how I love them. I’ve been wanting to make apple fritters for the longest time and have had this recipe idea in the back of my head all summer long. Everything from the cinnamon spiced fritter to that sweet vanilla coffee glaze. I knew exactly how I wanted to create these, so when it was finally time, I couldn’t have been happier. Sounds dorky, I know, but I really love September apple season.
I’ve made fritters before, but it was many years back. And while the recipe was good, these are better and so much easier. My older recipe uses a yeasted dough. That’s great, but it’s much more time-intensive and will give you a fritter more like a doughnut. These on the other hand are quick and easy, light and airy, and just beyond good.
And the best part…these are so easy!
If you’ve made a basic pancake batter, you can easily make these fritters. The batter is basic – flour, eggs, milk, etc. But then what makes these fritters extra special?
First, the spices. Instead of just a plain fritter, I really wanted these to be warming and smell like our favorite spiced latte or apple cake baking away in the oven. I used a mix cinnamon, ginger, and nutmeg, which I always find to be the perfect autumn spice blend.
Second, the apples. As you guys have probably noticed, I love using Honeycrisp apples for both cooking and baking. I find them to have the best flavor, the perfect amount of sweetness, and always to be crisp. The other thing I do? I like to leave the skin on my apples. I know this is a little controversial, as some might say the skin adds an odd texture, but I find the skin to be one of the more delicious parts to the apple and never understood why you’d peel it away.
Of course, this is just my personal preference. If you already know you don’t enjoy apple skins in your baked apple treats, just peel them away. The recipe is great either way.
Moving along…
Once the batter is mixed up, simply fry it in oil and you’ll have perfect apple fritters minutes later.
So I usually try to avoid frying at all costs. For instance, I love an “oven fry” when possible. But for a really good autumn apple fritter, you need to break out the oil and do a little fryin’.
Annoying? Yes, for sure.
But, worth it? Yes, for sure. Especially if you’ve just picked up a couple of buckets of fresh apples from your local farm or market.
As the apples are frying, you slowly start to get wafts of cinnamon and sweetness flowing through the air. If fall had a scent, this would be it. It’s delightful.
Now on to that glaze…it might just be my favorite.
So, I don’t love a straight powdered sugar glaze. I find it to be pretty bland and really, it’s just too sugary for my taste.
With this glaze, I wanted it to be exciting, but not overpowering. I wanted the flavors within the glaze to help highlight the flavors in the fritters. I’ve always loved anything with autumn spices and a side of coffee, so naturally, I thought the glaze needed to be one flavored with coffee. The perfect fritter pairing, right?
I used my favorite espresso powder, a nice splash of vanilla, and a drizzle of maple syrup, to create a coffee glaze. Not too strong, not too sweet, but just right. Especially when you dunk a warm fritter right into it.
Delicious.
So with that, can I encourage you all to go apple picking this weekend? Oddly I’m on Ohio right now for my cousin’s wedding. I’d love to hit up one of the local farms for their fresh from the tree apples. Unfortunately, I doubt we’ll have any time in between wedding festivities, but it would sure be fun!
Any of you who are close to an apple farm…or just have a market close by (so that should be all of us), let’s agree to make these fritters. And if not this weekend, sometime soon. I promise you guys, these are the fall breakfast, afternoon snack, or after-dinner dessert we’re all in need of most this season!
My suggestion? Apple picking on Saturday…then Sunday afternoon fritter making…with a side of your favorite latte. Such a perfect way to spend a fall weekend.
See you guys on Sunday for another favorites post.

What kind of oil do you use to fry them ? And can I know the recipe is probably going 10x better with whole milk but do you think I could use a higher fat non dairy milk like coconut milk instead ! Thanks ! I have been following you since 2014 and I love every single one of your post! Thanks for all you do !
Hey Melody,
I like to use canola oil for frying and then yes I think a non-dairy milk will work! I hope you love the recipe, please let me know if you have any other questions! xTieghan
Hi
The recipe instructions says butter but it’s not listed in the ingredients, do you mean buttermilk?
My email [email protected]. Please let me know my grandkids love everything Apple and the fritters will be perfect for breakfast

I noticed in the instructions it mentioned butter, but I don’t see that in the ingredients. Could you let me know how much butter to add? And, thank you so much for all of your recipes. My sister-in-law, Tami, is obsessed with your site, as am I. Every recipe I’ve made is THE MOST DELICIOUS! I have 2 grand daughters and they must have the homemade Cinnamon Toast Crunch cereal every morning. TY Diane
Hey Diane,
So sorry for the confusion, this recipe needs 2 tablespoons of butter:) Thanks so much for your kind message! I hope you love the recipe, please let me know if you have any other questions! xTieghan
These look amazing! I’ve never fried with oil before. Would it be possible to make these in an air fryer instead of frying on the stove top?
Hey Kari,
So sorry but I do not own an air fryer so I am unsure of what the results would be. I hope you love the recipe, please let me know if you have any other questions! xTieghan
Could you use an air fryer for this recipe?
Hey Kay,
So sorry but I do not own an air fryer so I am unsure of what the results would be! I hope you love the recipe, please let me know if you have any other questions! xTieghan
These look amazing!!! I’ve never fried things.. but I need to make these. Is it possible to fry in olive oil and without a thermometer?
Hey Alexa,
I like to use canola oil for this and I did not use a thermometer, just medium-high heat on the stove. I hope you love the recipe, please let me know if you have any other questions! xTieghan
These look delicious!! Gonna go buy apples! Can I ask if it’s possible to bake these instead of frying? Thank you!
Hey Monica,
If you were to bake these I would do them in a muffin tin, but please note you may not get the same texture and results as frying. I hope you love the recipe, please let me know if you have any other questions! xTieghan
Is there anything else I can substitute for the instant coffee in the glaze?
Hey Jess,
You could just omit the instant coffee. I hope you love the recipe, please let me know if you have any other questions! xTieghan
Followed the recipe (cut in half since there is just the two of us) and came out with eight delicious apple fritters. I skipped the expresso since that isn’t something we ever have in the house but these were so good. And so easy. And for those that didn’t see it in the recipe… the melted butter goes in the batter with the milk and eggs….
Thank you so much Julie! xTieghan
I have a question- can you skip the eggs? I can’t eat eggs right now or a egg replacer( Health thing😊🤣) Just curious. If you can’t, totally fine, i just have fresh HONEYCRISP apples from the orchard calling my name. And a latte.☕
Hey Johanna,
So sorry I haven’t tested this recipe without the eggs so I am unsure of the results. You could try a chia or flax egg:) I hope you love the recipe, please let me know if you have any other questions! xTieghan
Made these tonight with fresh Honeycrisps from our farmers market!! SO satisfying on a fall evening!
Yes! I am really glad you enjoyed this, Laura! xTieghan
Do you need to cook the apples at all before adding them to the batter?
Hey Katie,
Nope, no need to precook the apples! I hope you love the recipe, please let me know if you have any other questions! xTieghan
These look totally amazing girl! Could I try baking in the air fryer instead of the oil? Can’t wait to try!
Hey Jen,
So sorry I do not own an air fryer so I am unsure of how these would turn out. I hope you love the recipe, please let me know if you have any other questions! xTieghan
Yum!!! Could you use an air fryer for these?
Hey Hailey,
Sorry, I do not own an air fryer so I am unsure of how these would turn out. I hope you love the recipe, please let me know if you have any other questions! xTieghan
Ingredients do say 2 TBS salted butter. Was it not there before?
What type of oil do you recommend? Thanks, looks delish!
Hey Marci,
So sorry there was a typo with the recipe. I use canola oil for frying:) I hope you love the recipe, please let me know if you have any other questions! xTieghan
What type of oil would be the “healthiest”? I know fried food isn’t healthy but I know seed oils are toxic so I want to avoid that at all costs. Any suggestions would be appreciated!
Hey Lilly,
For this recipe I like to use canola oil. I hope you love the recipe, please let me know if you have any other questions! xTieghan
Fir those that are asking about the butter, saying it is not listed in ingredients:
2Tbls salted butter, melted is listed after the eggs in the ingredient list.
It is then listed again in the Instructions section under Step 1, it gets mixed with the eggs, maple, milk, etc
Hope this was helpful! ☺️
I am SO Excited to make these!!! 😋
Thank you Victoria! I hope you love these! xTieghan
This looks amazing! Cant wait to try it! Question though, im gluten and wheat intolerant… could i use rice flour instead?
Hey Annie,
So sorry I haven’t tested this recipe with rice flour, but I would recommend using an equal amount of gluten free flour. I hope you love the recipe, please let me know if you have any other questions! xTieghan
Nooooo!!! wanted to make these asap but no metrics :'( it looks so good, could you please add the conversion Tiegan? Thanks a lot!
Hi Eva! I do not have the conversions for this. I am so sorry about that! xTieghan
I really love your fall recipes! Anything with cinnamon, apples, pumpkin etc. LOVE. LOVE .LOVE
Thank you so much Clare! xTieghan
What kind of oil do you use for frying?
Hey Lianna,
I used canola oil. I hope you love the recipe, please let me know if you have any other questions! xTieghan
Delicious! Tried making them in the air fryer first and they were just okay. They stuck to the grate too. Used canola oil and fried them traditionally and they were amazing!
Thank you so much Reba! xTieghan
SO happy you’re focusing on apple recipes! These look so good, and I love that you’re willing to deal with the mess of frying sometimes, just because the end result is so worth it. 🙂
Also, now I’m feeling kinda nostalgic– I grew up near Columbus, Ohio, and we always went apple picking every year. I haven’t done that in quite a while…
Thank you so much Lauren! I hope you are able to go apple picking this year, it was the best! xTieghan
These look amazing! What would you sub for maple syrup? I’m in the middle of a 2-week full isolation bc of travel and I have all the ingredients except for syrup!
Hey Kel,
I haven’t tested this, but you could try using honey. I hope you love the recipe, please let me know if you have any other questions! xTieghan
Ohhhh my goodness! SO good. SO easy. Make them. Just do it.
Thank you Nikki! xTieghan
As soon as I read your recipe, I immediately decided to cook it. Apples are just growing in my yard. This is delicious. And very quickly. Thanks for the recipe. While it’s apple season – I will cook these fritters all the time.
Thank you for trying this Emily! I am really glad it worked out so well for you! xTieghan
I have to try making these this weekend!!! Like you, I avoid frying anything because it’s unhealthy and makes my whole house smell but I think these fritters will definitely be worth it! I was reading an older recipe of yours and I noticed that you mentioned good places to shop for you home, I would highly recommend shopping at The Barn and The Emporium in Castle Rock if you ever come this way!
Thank you so much Candace! xTieghan
Is there any substitution for coffee or can I omit it and leave a vanilla glaze? I currently cannot have caffeine. Thanks!
Hey Nikki,
You can just omit the instant coffee. I hope you love the recipe, please let me know if you have any other questions! xTieghan
Is it possible to use a nut or oat milk instead of milk?
Thanks!
Hey Alyssa,
Yes those should work! I hope you love the recipe, please let me know if you have any other questions! xTieghan
Loved the recipe! Easy and delicious. I may do a little less instant coffee next time (I did somewhere in between 2 – 3 teaspoons). Do you have any suggestions on how to store them? (Fridge, no fridge, about how long they will keep?)
Hey Shelby,
I would keep these in an air tight container on the counter for up to a week. Thanks so much for giving the recipe a try! xTieghan
These were spectacular. Completely amazing and all my children scarfed them down. I didn’t have instant coffee so I had to skip that ingredient but it didn’t matter. They were awesome!! So easy and I’ll definitely make again!!
Thank you so much Christine! xTieghan
Hey so I made these and they tasted great but they aren’t crispy. The ones in your picture look like they have the hard crispy outside with soft inside. Mine are more soft outside and mushy inside.
Wondering if there’s any thoughts on what I may have done wrong or any secret tips for when I try these out again.
Also I did not have apple crisp apples but a lot of gala apples so I used those (not sure if that makes a difference)
Hey Ashley,
Thanks so much for giving the recipe a try, I am sorry you had issues with them! I am wondering if you adjusted the recipe at all and what kind of oil and flour you used? All of these could have made an impact on the recipe. Please let me know how I can help! xTieghan
So. Darn. Good. And so quick and easy to make!! I was hesitant about leaving the skin on, but it was delicious and the texture did not bother any of us at all, like you said, only added yo the flavour.
Definitely saving this recipe – thank you!!!
Thank you so much Kristen!! xTieghan
These are amazing! My husband can’t stop eating them! What temperature do you heat your oil to? I think mine was a little too hot!
Hey Emily,
I am so glad you enjoyed the recipe, you want the oil to be at 350. I hope this helps for next time! xTieghan
WOW!! I made these this afternoon and omg they were SO good, such a hit with the whole family!! (I did omit the coffee in the glaze as we didn’t have any on hand) Very quick and easy to put together, I will definitely be making these often this Fall! Oh and I fried them in Organic canola oil. Thanks for this super tasty recipe Tieghan!!
I am so happy to hear that, Cachae!! Thank you so much for trying this! xTieghan
Loved this recipe with the unique glaze. Will definitely make this again!
Thank you Debra! xTieghan
I haven’t actually made these yet but it sounds so tasty, I’ll probably try it out this week!
I just wanted to reply to all the recent comments asking about the butter: The recipe lists 2 tablespoons of salted butter, melted in the ingredients list since at least the first time I looked at this recipe on Friday 😉 So maybe it was just recently updated
Thank you so much Celine! I am really glad this turned out so well for you! xTieghan
OMG.. These look phenomenal.
Thank you so much Hena! xTieghan
These were easy and delicious!!! We fried in canola oil until they were golden.
Thank you so much Samantha!! xTieghan
Super good! Definitely needed more cinnamon, you could barely taste it, and the dough was a little dry so I added the extra milk. I also added vanilla extract to the batter. Also the amount of apple is way too much. I only needed one chopped apple. I made it GF with a GF baking mix and they turned out good!
Amazing!! I am really glad this turned out so well for you, Julia! Thank you! xTieghan
I made these this weekend! They were absolutely amazing! Teagan, thank you so much for another simple, inspired and delicious recipe. I see that several people have commented on the butter not being listed in the ingredients. The butter is not listed in the printable version.. but it is listed in the LinkedIn profile recipe. It says two tablespoons of butter. Can’t wait for more recipes!
Thank you for trying this one, Katy! I am really glad it turned out well for you! xTieghan
Making these was my first time really making pastry by frying. They turned out surprisingly easy and was a great way to use up some apples going a bit soft in the fridge. Watch out, this made quite a few fritters. I omitted the coffee as our toddler was having them too.
Thank you so much Shannon! I am really glad this recipe turned out so well for you! xTieghan
Had the ingredients at home and decided to make them! DELICIOUS. Mine did burn a little, but it really didn’t impact the flavor at all! Super quick and easy, and will definitely make again!
Thank you so much Sami! I am so happy these turned out well for you! xTieghan
We. Add these last night. We put them in an airtight container but now they are no longer crispy. Anything you’d suggest to keep them crispy? Let me know. Thanks.
Hey Lauren,
Thanks so much for giving the recipe a try! Try popping them in the oven for a few minutes. Please let me know if you have any other questions! xTieghan
So delicious!! This is the second recipe I’ve made of yours (first were the Blueberry Cinnamon Crumb bars) and both are winners and keepers. I’ve just recently “found“ you online and I look forward to making more of your interesting and beautiful dishes!
**For this recipe, I did substitute Swerve confectioners sugar for the glaze. With this, a 1:1 substitute made the glaze too sweet. For anyone else trying this alteration, definitely dial back the Swerve.
Wow yes!! I am so happy you have been loving my recipes thus far, Vanessa! Thank you so much! I hope you continue to! xTieghan
This recipe was very easy to follow and turned out pretty good – I didn’t have ginger on hand so I substituted with 1/8 cardamom. This glaze is absolutely addicting, the critters need it in my opinion, I didn’t find much flavor in them otherwise, but maybe that’s due to the ginger thing. I kind of wish they were coated in some sort of cinnamon sugar.
I fried in vegetable/olive oil because that’s what I had, I didn’t end up with crunchy or crisp fritters. Are these supposed to be that kind of texture? Mine were pretty soft and tender-like. Maybe it’s my oil choice. I flipped them under the broiler and that got them a little crispy but they’re very dark in color now, not so pretty. Maybe I’ll try again with canola? I also had to add a little more milk because of the thickness of the batter, but I’m also wondering if that’s what caused the fritters to be soft, too. Any tips or suggestions to try again? Still absolutely delicious and they didn’t even last a full day! Thanks!
Hey Kiley!! Next time stick to using all vegetable or canola oil or another neutral oil like peanut oil. Either should give you a better result.
I don’t think it was the added milk, but more so the use of olive oil. Olive oil is not meant for deep frying, so I think that is your issue. Please let me know if you have any other questions. I am so glad you love this recipe! Hope these tips help next time around! Thank you!! xTieghan
Do you have any recommendations for storing these? I made (what I thought was) a small batch, and I have a bunch left over. Should they be refrigerated? Stored at room temp? Suggestions please! And, by the way, made these for breakfast today (because Friday!) and they are delicious!!
Hey Janina,
Thanks so much for giving the recipe a try. I like to store in an air tight container on the counter. Please let me know if you have any other questions! xTieghan
Dont like coffee, but i had some tiger spice chai powder that i used instead. It was awesome!
I am so happy to hear that! Thank you Diane! xTieghan
Looks delish. I think some of the advertising is covering the directions about the butter, but it’s listed in the ingredients and in directions.
Thank you Erin! Is there anything I can help you with? xTieghan
We used 4 gala apples as we had them on hand, and went with the higher number given how larger Honeycrisps are in our region. We definitely added the extra 1/4 cup of milk to get the batter the right consistency and fried them in canola oil. They were delicious fresh, though I’d decrease the apple next time. They did not keep well, as the glaze does not harden like you’d find on a bakery-purchased apple fritter. They ended up quite soggy the next day.
The glaze is really delicious! We didn’t have instant espresso on hand, so we used cold brew concentrate. It had a wonderful mocha-esque flavor.
Thank you for trying this one, Ashley! I am really happy this turned out so well for you! xTieghan
So good and easy to make vegan with almond milk, dairy free butter and flax egg. Comes together so quick. Great recipe!!
Thank you so much for trying this one, Melissa!! I am really happy this turned out so well for you! xTieghan
This was so yummy and great for a brunchy snack during late mornings, especially during the Fall! I only used 2 honey crisp apples because my apples were HUGE! After cutting the two up, it probably came out to be 4 cups of diced apples. I made the batter as stated in the instructions. This made about 25ish medium sized fritters (a little larger than 1 bit sized). Since it’s just two of us, and these aren’t great to store/re-heat, next time I will cut everything in half; or maybe I’ll only fry half and save the rest for later; OR, store and reheat in the air fryer? Not sure what I’m going to do with all the leftovers yet… 🙂
Hi Lauren! I am so happy these turned out so amazing for you!! Thank you for trying this one! These for a snack on a cool day is the best! xTieghan
So so so easy to make and super delicious. Do you have a recommendation on storing extra fritters? Refrigerate or no?
Hey Rose,
Thank you so much for giving the recipe a try! I like to store in an airtight container on the counter. Please let me know if you have any other questions! xTieghan
Just made this recipe and subbed the milk for Trader Joe’s Oat milk and they turned out perfectly delicious. Loved how easy and flavorful this recipe was 🙂 I ended up using Fuji and Granny Smith apples because that’s what I got at the orchard and it still tasted great!
Thank you so much Hannah! I am so glad you enjoyed this recipe!! xTieghan
These were amazing fresh and I want to put the glaze on all baked goods this fall. I did have trouble with my fritters getting soggy, they didn’t harden as I would have expected. I ended up tossing what we didn’t eat fresh. Should they harden? Did I need to fry them longer?
Hey Catio,
Thanks so much for giving the recipe a try, I am sorry you had issues with them getting soggy! I am wondering if you adjusted the recipe at all and what kind of oil and flour you used? All of these could have made an impact on the recipe as well as if the oil was not hot enough, you want to have a temp of 350. Please let me know how I can help! xTieghan
I’ve now made these twice since the recipe came out. I find I’m craving them constantly. They’re perfect. I don’t go for the coffee glaze, rather I just use a simple powdered sugar and milk one, but the texture and the flavor of the fritters are just so so good. I fry in vegetable oil, which has been fine. I also have used sugar in place of maple syrup in the batter and that was good as well. I would also say, make sure you have your whole set up ready before frying. The first time I didn’t have the wire rack ready for the first batch of fritters and it was a bit chaotic. If you’re thinking of making them, do it. Hope this helps.
Thank you so much Kel! I am so happy these turned out so well for you!! xTieghan
Love love these!! They seem calorie friendly – you say 99 calories – is that for one. They/mine are on the small side so hoping the calorie count is for more than one!!
Hey Linda,
This is an estimated count for one. I hope you love the recipe, please let me know if you have any other questions! xTieghan
Really LOVED your Apple Fritter post and the remembrance for 9/11 – we all should extend a plate of #HBH Apple Fritters to those we love and enjoy friendships with as a way to celebrate the fall season. Thank you.
Thank you so much Millette! I am really glad this recipe turned out so well for you! xTieghan
Perfect….rave reviews from the family
Thank you John! xTieghan
Lovely recipe. I used one very large honeycrisp apple and that was sufficient. The batter was not too sweet and the glaze added a lot of flavor. I had a little issue with the coffee not dissolving. In the future, I’d mix the coffee with the milk separately and then add the mixture to the sugar. All in all, it tastes like apple funnel cake and was delicious with coffee!
Love that this turned out so well for you, Ritu! Thank you for trying it! xTieghan
These look amazing! Do you think I could make these in advance of an event and be able to store them and keep the freshness for 24h?
Hey Fatmata,
I really like to serve these fresh out of the pot:) I hope you love the recipe, please let me know if you have any other questions! xTieghan
Absolutely easy and delicious! My only thing is how did you store them after? I put mine in a sealed tupperware and they ended up getting soggy.
Hey Jana,
I like to do an air tight container on the counter, but they are best eaten on the first day! Thanks for trying the recipe, please let me know if you have any other questions! xTieghan
These are so good! And so easy!!! I had never deep fried anything before and it was easy. I will definitely make these again.
Love that! Thank you so much for trying this one, Kirsten! xTieghan
I halved the recipe and it was perfect. So quick and easy. My family loved it.
Thank you so much Jacque! xTieghan
do you mind linking the pan you used to fry?
Hey Riley,
Heres the link! https://rstyle.me/+YJIyTpue-XplkCFklDLCng
I hope you love the recipe, please let me know if you have any other questions! xTieghan
Delicious! Love that there is no sugar in the batter! We made some with the glaze (no coffee) and some with just cinnamon sprinkled on top. So so good and easy to make! I would go 4-5+ apples. You make think it looks like too much but it won’t be. I promise! Thanks Tieghan!!
Thank you so much Brooks! I am really glad this recipe turned out so well for you! xTieghan
I made these a couple of days ago (I have a whole bunch of apples from apple picking so I have been perusing HBH’s apple recipes!) and these were excellent!!! Definitely leave the skins on the apples, it just adds a little bit of a good texture! Also, make sure the oil is not too hot. The oil was too hot on my first fry batch and the outsides of the fritters got a little too crispy before the insides were able to cook! My subsequent batches were perfect 🙂
Oh and the glaze… i could just eat that by itself.
Hi Michelle! I am so glad this recipe turned out so well for you! Thank you so much for trying it!! xTieghan
Hi there very excited to try this out, curious to know how to successfully oven fry, and if I could get gram measurements?
Hey Daniel,
I would not recommend baking these in the oven and for the metric conversion, simply click “metric” below the ingredient list. I hope you love the recipe, please let me know if you have any other questions! xTieghan
I just made these and that coffee glaze is EVERYTHING 😍😍😍
Thank you Tessa! xTieghan
I’ve been so excited to try this recipe and it did not disappoint! I follow the recipe to a T and they seem to come out just right. The only change I would make in the future is the instant coffee. Mine didn’t dissolve, so it was like little flakes in the icing. I might consider dissolving it in the future or leaving it out all together. Even with flakes, they were still delicious! This was my first HBH to attempt and I can’t wait to try more!
Hi Katie! I am so happy this recipe turned out so well for you! Thank you! I hope you continue to enjoy my recipes! xTieghan
Loved this recipe! Didn’t think I would like a glaze with coffee, but it was delicious. The only thing I was missing was the temperature for the oil. I cooked at 360F and made sure it reached that temperature each time I put in another batch. Thanks so much!
Thank you Karen!! I am really glad this recipe turned out so well for you! xTieghan

Thank you so much Cheyenne! xTieghan
These.are.delicious! I’ve never had an apple fritter before, and decided to try these. I’m so glad this was my first experience with an apple fritter. They were so easy to make, not too sweet, and that coffee glaze is amazing! I’m wondering what else I can drizzle it on! Great recipe!
I am so glad these turned out so well for the both of you, Coby! Thank you so much for trying it! xTieghan

Absolutely amazing. I am a huge Apple fritter fan and these were decadent. My boyfriend doesn’t like any foods or desserts with warm fruit and he LOVED these so, that’s huge in my book. Thank you so much for creating such delicious recipes!

Hi! I’m so excited to try this recipe but had a question about the maple syrup in the batter. Could I substitute it with an equal amount of dark brown sugar? Maple syrup is hard to come by where I live!
Hey Ana,
I haven’t tested this, but you could certainly give it a try, you could also use honey! I hope you love the recipe, please let me know if you have any other questions! xTieghan
These are so good! The coffee glaze pairs surprisingly well with the apple fritters! They are a bit soggy the next day but still delicious!
Amazing! Thank you Albany! xTieghan

Thank you Maddi! xTieghan
I’ve made this twice now and its a huge hit with my husband, kids and friends. I’ve made it with the coffee and without and it’s amazing both ways. This recipe is also super easy, which is a huge win for me with having little kids.

Tieghan,
These were a hit with the whole family!!! Dare I say the best apple fritter!!! The coffee in the glaze is amazing, and puts the fritter over the top!
If we have leftovers do you suggest leaving them at room temp or in fridge?
Thanks for another amazing recipe!
Amy
Hey Amy,
Thanks so much for trying the recipe, I am so glad you enjoyed! I like to keep these in an airtight container at room temp. xTieghan
These look delicious – can they be made and eaten later? I’d love to make some to bring over to my parents but, especially because of quarantine, it is difficult to get things to them right away. Will they be okay the next day? Or, if they don’t eat them all, the day after that?
Hey Carol,
I personally think these are best served warm and fresh, but they certainly will be totally fine the next day:) I hope you love the recipe, please let me know if you have any other questions! xTieghan
These are delicious! I’ve never made anything like this and they were so easy to make, with great flavor. I’ll definitely make them again.
Hey Evelyn,
