I mean, I have only been keeping this hush, hush from you guys since OCTOBER. I know, I know.
Honestly, a Christmas dinner party…this Christmas dinner party…this POST… I think it’s my favorite one of the year! I’ve partnered with Crate and Barrel to bring you guys this little “how to” on hosting the perfect Christmas Party. One question though, i only own one 8 inch cake pan (for the gingerbread cake) is it ok to bake the batter in batches? And keep the rest waiting in de fridge?

WELL, Tieghan…I’d gladly swoop up that BIGGG Gingerbread Cake (much like the little girl with her arms around that BIG cellophane-wrapped Christmas bowl present) and sneak it home for myself, lol! I LOVE big cakes, and this one fits the bill!! Mind you, I could eat the whole pictured slice of that luscious cake all by myself, too, no matter the incredulous looks cast my way! Looks amazing! Quick question, for the mushroom soup, were the chestnuts packaged in a liquid? The only ones I can find are at the dollar store in a bag and they are almost like water chestnuts you get in cans.

Tieghan, this is absolutely gorgeous, and I’m inspired to attempt to replicate your menu to celebrate Christmas with my dad this weekend. However, for the life of me, I can’t understand where you found plums this time of year!!
Would you recommend using canned purple plums or red plum jam as a substitute?

I think canned plums would be fine or use 1 cup fresh cranberries. Let me know if you have questions. Hope you love this! 🙂
