Sheet Pan Buffalo Chicken Pizza.
Sheet Pan Buffalo Chicken Pizza. Fresh pizza dough topped with ranch, extra saucy buffalo chicken, three kinds of cheese, and a house style “pizza seasoning”. The key to this pizza is baking it on a sheet pan at a high temp until the crust becomes just a little crisp and the cheese is melty. As soon as the pizza comes out of the oven, top it with more buffalo sauce, slice, eat, and ENJOY. Trust me, every last bite of this pizza is delicious and will leave you wanting more. It’s both savory and a touch spicy…the cheesy, saucy pizza that’s just perfect for game day.
This pizza has been a long time coming. A long, long time. I’ve avoided sharing this recipe for years, but the time has finally come. Today we’re talking all things buffalo chicken pizza. This is without a doubt my brother’s favorite pizza. They ask for it every time they’re here, and honestly, it’s always the first pizza to disappear.
To back up a bit, I have a long history with buffalo chicken pizza. I remember the very first time I had a slice, I was with my best friend, Stephanie. Her parents had ordered pizza and one of the pizzas was topped with buffalo chicken. At the time I’m not sure I even knew if I enjoyed buffalo chicken, but I tried it, and geez, it was good. I remember it like it was yesterday. The crust was soft, doughy, and loaded with ranch. It was topped with chunks of chicken, buffalo sauce, and multiple kinds of cheese.
Every last bite was honesty just so delicious. From that day on, Steph and I would always request the buffalo chicken pizza any time her family ordered out. And then, I even had my parents ordering it on the rare occasion my family would get carryout pizza.
I loved it. And when I started to cook? Yup, it was the first pizza I ever made.
Fast forward to today. I make this pizza all the time. I always try to make it just how I remember it tasting so many years ago.
The pizza was saucy, greasy, and beyond cheesy, The chicken wasn’t the star, but more the sauce and the cheese. There was something green, maybe green onions or parsley, but it’s wasn’t prominent. There wasn’t anything pretty about this pizza, but…it was beyond good.
For my pizza, I tried to replicate every last detail. And through years of practice, I think I’ve finally gotten it just right. And that speeds us up to today. Even though we love this buffalo chicken pizza. I wasn’t ever going to share the recipe. I figured that it wasn’t needed. Everyone has their own version of this pizza on the internet. I didn’t need to share mine.
But then…
Two things happened. One, we received so many requests through Instagram for this pizza. At first, I ignored them…until this weekend when I did a quick google search for buffalo chicken pizza. I realized that yes, the internet has a lot of buffalo chicken pizza recipes. But, none of them are JUST for buffalo chicken pizza. The recipes I found all had something else with it. Maybe a random vegetable, a different sauce, or just something making it fancier than I feel it needs to be.
And that’s when I realized HBH needs this recipe. We need the unclassy, not so pretty, and extra cheesy buffalo chicken pizza. Just like the one you eat at your favorite pizza spot. Only better, because this one has more sauce, more cheese, and just the right amount of garlicky herbs. It. Is. So. GOOD!
Start with the dough.
Start with the dough. I like to use my homemade pizza dough recipe from the HBH Super Simple cookbook. It’s the easiest to make and truly delicious. If you can think a few hours ahead of time, I’d recommend making your own dough. If not, store-bought pizza dough works great too (Whole Foods and Trader Joe’s both have great options)!
For those of you who prefer a thicker crust pizza, I recommend using closer to three-quarters or even one pound of pizza dough. We like our crust thinner, so I only use a half-pound of dough.
Once you have your dough figured out, it’s time to make pizza.
The steps.
Now, these next two steps are KEY and what I’ve found to be the most common throughout everything I read. You need to cook this pizza at a high heat temp, so start preheating your oven to five hundred degrees as soon as you decide you’re making pizza. Ideally one to two hours ahead of time to get it really HOT.
If you’re in a pinch, thirty minutes works just fine too.
Push the dough out on a sheet pan, then layer it with ranch dressing, very saucy buffalo chicken, cheese, and my “house style pizza seasoning” blend. Then add fresh cilantro or parsley, garlic, fennel, and plenty of crushed red pepper.
I use a mix of blue cheese, mozzarella cheese, cheddar, and parmesan, but feel free to use your favorite kinds of cheese.
You’ll bake this pizza in the upper position of the oven, and in less than fifteen minutes you’ll have amazing pizza and your kitchen will smell incredible. As soon as the pizza comes out of the oven. Top with additional buffalo sauce (always more sauce), slice, and eat. This one is meant to be eaten hot and you really just need buffalo sauce and ranch for serving. Maybe some additional parmesan, but that’s it.
It’s not fancy at all, but that’s what makes this pizza good. It’s just that cheesy pizza we’re all really craving the most. And yes, it’s going to be pretty darn perfect for this Sunday’s Super Bowl.
Enjoy everyone!

Sheet Pan Buffalo Chicken Pizza
Fresh pizza dough topped with ranch, extra saucy buffalo chicken, 3 cheese, and seasoning...perfect for gameday!
Ingredients
- 1/2 pound pizza dough, homemade or store-bought
- 1 cup cooked shredded chicken
- 1/2 cup buffalo sauce (homemade sauce in notes)
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh chives
- 2 teaspoons dried parsley
- 1 teaspoon dried dill
- 1/2 cup fresh cilantro or parsley, chopped
- 1-2 cloves garlic, grated
- 1/2-1 teaspoon fennel seeds
- 1 pinch red pepper flakes
- 1/3 cup ranch dressing (homemade sauce in notes)
- 1/4 cup crumbled blue cheese (optional)
- 1 cup shredded whole milk mozzarella
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup grated parmesan or asiago cheese
Instructions
-
1. Position the oven rack in the upper 1/3 portion of your oven. Preheat the oven to 500° F. for at least 30 minutes before baking, preferably 1-2 hours ahead. If you have a baking stone, start preheating it.
2. Place the pizza dough on a lightly oiled quarter sheet pan. Gently press the dough until it covers most of the sheet pan. Cover and let sit while you prep the pizza.
3. In a bowl, combine the chicken, buffalo sauce, chives, parsley, and dill.
4. To make the herb seasoning. In a bowl, combine the cilantro/parsley, 1-2 cloves grated garlic, fennel seeds, and a pinch of red pepper flakes.
5. To assemble. Grab the dough and spread on the ranch, you may not need it all. Add a drizzle of buffalo sauce if you'd like, then layer on the chicken and cheeses. Sprinkle the herb seasoning over top.
6. Slide into the preheated oven and bake for 10 minutes, rotate the pizza, and bake another 3-5 minutes or until the crust is golden and the cheese has melted. Top the pizza with fresh cilantro, additional buffalo sauce and/or ranch. ENJOY!

Making this for the Super Bowl. What hot sauce do you usually use?
Hey Suzanne,
I like Frank’s hot sauce. Hope you love the pizza! xTieghan
What’s the best way to cook the chicken ahead of time?
Hey Melanie,
I just bake my chicken, but you could use a rotisserie, that would be super easy! I hope you love the recipe, please let me know if you have any other questions! xTieghan
Hi. This looks amazing, however my husband has a weird proclivity about chicken on pizza. Could the same recipe be done substituting any other meat in your opinion?
Hey DJ,
I think cauliflower would be a great substitute in place of the chicken. Let me know how it turns out! xTieghan
Yay! Do a BBQ chicken pizza next!!! I beg!
Thanks Allison! xTieghan
This looks fantastic! Do you have a suggestion on how to make vegetarian? Maybe buffalo cauliflower? And if so, would I roast the vegetable before baking the pizza? Thanks!!
Hey MJ,
I think cauliflower would be great, I would roast it a bit before adding to the pizza. I hope you love the recipe, please let me know if you have any other questions! xTieghan
I immediately made this tonight and OH MY GOSH it was so good. My husband and I literally stuffed ourselves. What an awesome recipe!!
Hey Jess,
I am so glad the recipe was enjoyed, thanks so much for giving it a try! xTieghan
Any preferred substitutes for the buttermilk in the homemade ranch?! Can’t wait to try this!
Hey Corrianne,
You can mix 1/2 cup of whole milk with 1 teaspoon of lemon juice in place of the buttermilk. I hope you love the recipe, please let me know if you have any other questions! xTieghan
Is the pizza crust baked before you add the toppings?
Thank you!
Hey Cassie,
The crust is not baked because you add the toppings. I hope you love the recipe, please let me know if you have any other questions! xTieghan
This pizza looks amazing and I cannot wait to make it! However, I am confused about the pan size. In the picture the size looks larger, but you mentioned using a 1/4 sheet pan. What size is that? I am assuming smaller than a regular cookie sheet? Just wanted to clarify. Thanks so much!!
Hey Christine,
A 1/4 sheet pan or 1/2 sheet pan will both work well for this recipe. I hope you love the pizza! xTieghan
This looks incredible! I was wondering, the instructions say to use a 1/4 sheet pan? What size is that? I am assuming a regular cookie sheet would be to large or? Thanks much!!
Hey Christine,
A 1/4 sheet pan or 1/2 sheet pan will both work well here. I hope you love the recipe, please let me know if you have any other questions! xTieghan
Hi Tieghan – wondering what type of cheese is cut int cubes / chunks on the pizza (unbaked photo) as recipe calls for all shredded. Looks like it adds extra cheesiness and I don’t want to leave it out ! Can’t wait to make this …. yum 😋!
Hey Jane,
I used some cubes of Parmesan:) I hope you love the recipe, please let me know if you have any other questions! xTieghan
Is there any chance that this would work with something vegetarian instead of chicken? I’ll try anything you suggest…this pizza just looks SO GOOD! Thank you!
Hey Katie,
I think cauliflower would be great in place of the chicken. I hope you love the recipe, please let me know if you have any other questions! xTieghan
Hi there
That pizza looks amazing. I have a question about the preheated pizza stone. You say preheat it but then you say put on a half sheet. When/how do you transfer to stone? Can’t wait to try this!
Hey Sue,
You actually just put the baking sheet on top of the pizza stone, so no need to transfer the pizza. This will create and extra thick crust. I hope you love the recipe, please let me know if you have any other questions! xTieghan
You mention the pizza stone in step 1 but don’t return to it? Did you use one?
Hey Matthew,
You are just going to place your baking sheet on top of the pizza stone. This will create an extra crispy crust. I hope you love the recipe! Thanks! xTieghan
How do you recommend getting the dough to spread out on the sheet pan more? I had a VERY hard time with it- it didn’t seem like enough (I used 1 lb of dough), and I kept ripping holes in the dough 😩
Hey Nani,
I just continue to gently work the dough, you can also use a rolling pin if that helps! xTieghan
Would goat cheese do well as a substitution for or addition to any of these cheeses? I have so much from Costco!
Hey Jessi,
Sure, goat cheese would be great! I hope you love the recipe, please let me know if you have any other questions! xTieghan
AGAIN, DELICIOUS!!!! I’ve had buffalo chicken pizza at pizza parlors and didn’t’t really like it, I don’t know how to explain it but it was too strong, heavy, rich, buffalo-ey? BUT, this one was perfect. I did not add extra buffalo sauce because I only had 1/3-1/2 cup leftover from the buffalo chicken wraps last week.Another reader questioned the recipe feeding 8 and I would say it would only feed 4 as a main meal. I used a 12oz dough ball and it covered the sheet pan but was pretty thin. This would be a perfect superbowl snack.
Hey Karen,
I am delighted that this recipe was enjoyed, thanks so much for making it! xTieghan
Made this yesterday evening, & HOLY COW. The homemade pizza dough plus the spicy chicken & cheese—girl, this is heavenly. I received both of your cookbooks for Christmas, & I’ve made way too much food since then. Every single thing I’ve tried has been absolutely delicious. Jesus has used your food to encourage hospitality & community at my place here in Texas. Thank you for making incredible food that brings people together. Keep the recipes coming!
In Christ,
Brooke Hawkins
Hey Brooke,
I am so thrilled the recipe was enjoyed, thanks so much for giving it a go! Happy Friday! xTieghan
Pizza dough curing in the refrigerator for a few days right now to be a part of this delicious recipe! Question- I don’t have a pizza stone currently so will be using a baking/cookie sheet alone. Should I preheat the oven with the sheet inside before placing the uncooked pizza atop? Also, should the sheet be inverted if so? Can’t wait to sink my teeth into this fun & nostalgic treat! Thank you so much Tieghan!!
Hey Gia,
If you don’t have a pizza stone you can just preheat the oven when you are ready to bake the pizza, no need to preheat the baking sheet. I hope you love the pizza, please let me know if you have any other questions! xTieghan
OMG! This was so yummy. Didn’t have any shredded chicken so subbed in torn chicken fingers. They added in the perfect amount of crunch, so good! Don’t skip the herb seasoning. Will make again for sure.
Hey Chelsea,
I am so thrilled the recipe was enjoyed, thanks so much for giving it a go! Happy Friday! xTieghan
Amazing!!! Easy to follow recipe and quick enough to make. This pizza was better than I could have imagined! I will definitely be making it again!
Hey Carly,
I am so thrilled the recipe was enjoyed, thanks so much for giving it a go! Happy Friday! xTieghan
Oh my, AMAZING!!! Definitely the best Buffalo pizza we’ve ever had! Loving ALL your recipes! My husband says you have a fantastic flavor profile!
Hey Julie,
Thanks so much for trying the recipe, I am so glad it was enjoyed! Have a great weekend:) xTieghan
really tasty and good use of spices. Mine didn’t get crispy on the bottom. I made my usual pizza dough in the bread machine so maybe I should have cooked the dough a bit in the oven before putting on the toppings? Next time I will also drop in down a level in the oven.
Hey Patrick,
Thanks so much for trying the recipe, I am so glad it was enjoyed! The pizza stone trick really helps to crisp the crust. Have a great weekend:) xTieghan
Thank you for another delicious pizza recipe! Followed this as written and the only thing I would change is to cut back on the garlic in the herb mix. This was definitely different from a typical buffalo chicken pizza and I loved it!
Hey Christine,
Thanks so much for trying the recipe, I am so glad it was enjoyed! Have a great weekend:) xTieghan
My husband and I have been working with the (store bought) dough for a half hour now…I love thin crust, but clearly a half pound of dough is too small for this quarter sheet pan.Fed up now and ready to order take out. 🙂
Hey there,
So sorry about this, I would try a different brand of store bought dough next time:) xTieghan
I noticed you said preheat your baking stone. If you have a baking stone… should you cook your pizza on that rather than the sheet pan?
Hey Paige,
So I actually put my baking sheet with the pizza on top of the baking stone. This will help create a nice crispy crust. I hope you love the recipe, please let me know if you have any other questions! xTieghan
This looks amazing, I am going to make it tonight. I was curious what the cubes of cheese were, thank you to whoever asked in an earlier post. I will cube my fresh parm too! 🤤
I hope you love the recipe Stacy! xTieghan
Hi Tieghen! This looks amazing and I’m super excited to try it for Super Bowl Sunday! I was wondering if you think puff pastry would work for the crust. I have some in the freezer that needs to be used up lol. Thanks!
Hey Amy,
I have honestly never tried a pizza using puff pastry, you could certainly give it a try though! Let me know how it turns out! xTieghan
I just made this tonight, it was phenomenal. The right ratio of Buffalo to ranch and cheese etc. Will be making again for sure!
Hey Elizabeth,
I am thrilled you enjoyed this recipe, thanks so much for making it! Happy Sunday! xTieghan
My daughter made this including the dough for the first time. Sooo good. I love chicken pizza but do not like bbq sauce on pizza. This is perfect! Thank you!
Hey Judy,
I am thrilled you enjoyed this recipe, thanks so much for making it! Happy Sunday! xTieghan
Easy to make and tastes super delicious. Perfect treat night pizza!
Hey Anna,
I am so glad this recipe was enjoyed, thanks for making it! Have a great week! xTieghan
This was delicious! I used the Publix Bakery pizza dough and let it sit out on the counter for a few hours before stretching it out on my pan. The only things I omitted were the fennel seed, red pepper flakes (buffalo sauce was already spicy enough for me) and the optional blue cheese. I doubled the ranch sauce. Cut it into four huge slices and served with a side salad. My husband ended up eating two portions!! Thank you so much. I can’t wait to make it again!
Hey Aurora,
I am so glad this recipe was enjoyed, thanks for making it! Have a great week! xTieghan
Two things:
1. Your buffalo sauce is my go-to recipe. I don’t even buy premade anymore. The flavor simply cannot compare.
2. I never would have thought to put dill in with the chicken, but oh my gosh! It was so good! It was the flavor I hadn’t know was missing!
Hey Kate,
I am so glad this recipe was enjoyed, thanks for making it! Have a great week! xTieghan
Your recipes are beyond amazing and I soooo envy your pizza skills I can’t make a dough to save my life! I really don’t know what I am doing wrong. Thank you for your beautiful and delicious recipes!
Hey Cari,
Thanks so much for making the recipe, I am so glad it was enjoyed! Have a great week! xTieghan
Will I be okay to make it without fennel seeds? Or is there anything I can use in replace of? Thanks! Xo
Hey Emma,
You can skip the fennel seeds:) I hope you love the recipe, please let me know if you have any other questions! xTieghan
My crust came out very thin?
Hey Doree,
I like a thin crust, but if you like a thicker crust just use more dough:) Please let me know if you have any other questions! xTieghan
I just made this and WOW. So good! Highly recommend. I didn’t use blue cheese but kept everything else.
Hey Alexandra,
Thanks so much for making the recipe, I am so glad it was enjoyed! Have a great week! xTieghan
Made this today for Super Bowl. SO good!
Hey Kimberly,
Thanks so much for making the recipe, I am so glad it was enjoyed! Have a great week! xTieghan

Hey Lauren,
Thanks so much for making the recipe, I am so glad it was enjoyed! Have a great week! xTieghan
This was so delicious! I made it with a GF crust and it couldn’t have been better!
The best! I will make again!!
Hey Joan,
Thanks so much for making the recipe, I am so glad it was enjoyed! Have a great week! xTieghan
Put this together for our super bowl meal. So good! I haven’t made one of your recipes that wasn’t a hit! Definitely will make this one again!
Hey Barbara,
Thanks so much for making the recipe, I am so glad it was enjoyed! Have a great week! xTieghan
Made this tonight for the Super Bowl and it was amazing! The flavor was incredible and you can make it as spicy as you want – I made a cup and a half of the Buffalo sauce (original recipe makes a cup of sauce) to have extra to dip and it was perfect. The recipe is easy enough to double and make for a crowd too! Highly recommend!
Hey Danielle,
Thanks so much for making the recipe, I am so glad it was enjoyed! Have a great week! xTieghan
Delicious! My family especially loved the herb sprinkle on top, we’ll be adding that to all our home pizzas. I left out the additional herbs that are added in with the chicken and buffalo sauce, I thought that was too much with the herbs in the ranch and herbs on top. But we loved the buffalo sauce, I made extra for dipping.
Thanks for the great recipe.
Hey Tara,
Thanks so much for making the recipe, I am so glad it was enjoyed! Have a great week! xTieghan
This recipe is BOMB! So so good! Thankyou for sharing! Didn’t change a thing a did the cubes of Parmesan Reggiano along with all the other cheeses 👌🏽
Hey Lisa,
Thanks so much for making the recipe, I am so glad it was enjoyed! Have a great week! xTieghan
This is the best pizza I’ve ever made, and also way better than any restaurant buffalo chicken pizza I’ve had. Smelled absolutely delicious cooking in the oven and tasted even better! I loved the ratio of buffalo sauce, chicken and cheese – it was perfect! My husband likes less cheese (crazy I know), so I may go lighter next time but I don’t doubt the flavors will still be great!
Hey Nicole,
Thanks so much for making the recipe, I am so glad it was enjoyed! Have a great week! xTieghan
Greetings from Toronto,Canada
We LOVED it!! I’m not big on Buffalo sauce but my husband and son are! So used less on the chicken and they put more on top! Perfect for game night. So different and we so enjoyed it! I’m sure I will be asked to make that again! Love all your recipes!! Have made anything we haven’t liked!
Hey Leah,
Thanks so much for making the recipe, I am so glad it was enjoyed! Have a great week! xTieghan
We made this tonight for the Super Bowl. It was absolutely amazing. It was by far the best homemade pizza we’ve made and the best ever Buffalo chicken pizza we’ve had. I used a full pound of prepared pizza dough from our local grocery store to almost fill a cookie sheet and just made a little extra of everything else to follow the recipe as written. I would make the homemade Buffalo sauce to use on many other things too! Another fantastic recipe!!
Hey Grace,
Thanks so much for making the recipe, I am so glad it was enjoyed! Have a great week! xTieghan
I made this, the tomato herb sheet pan pizza, and the siracha cauliflower bites. They were all delicious and big hits, Haflbaked Harvest for the win on Super Bowl Sunday!
Hey Suzanne,
I am so glad the recipe was enjoyed, thanks so much for giving it a try! Have a great week! xTieghan
I always forget to do the stars!
Lol thanks Suzanne!
Thank for this amazing recipe!
For the vegetarians – I used beyond beef -sweet italian sauce instead of chicken and OMG it took it up a notch! A bit more spice, it was a HIT with the family for Superbowl.
Hey Christina,
I am so glad the recipe was enjoyed, thanks so much for giving it a try! Have a great week! xTieghan
So good! Made it for super bowl and there was none left. However, I used all the dough as 1/2 pound was no where near enough for a sheet. My dough was very sticky and I kept getting holes while trying to spread? Do you roll out on a different surface first? Also, why was it so sticky!
Thank you for the help and the incredible recipes!!
Hey Karine,
I am so glad the recipe was enjoyed, thanks so much for giving it a try! I used a quarter sheet pan for this recipe, so if you were trying to stretch it to fit a full sheet pan it definitely wouldn’t fit. Have a great week! xTieghan
I made this last night and it was just amazing! The flavors went above my expectations, and I look forward to making this often in the future!
Hey Carryn,
I am delighted you enjoyed the recipe, thanks so much for giving it a try! xTieghan
you really can’t go wrong with buffalo chicken and pizza!! made this for the super bowl and the family loved it!
Hey Stefan,
I am delighted you enjoyed the recipe, thanks so much for giving it a try! xTieghan
True perfection! If you have the craving, this will absolutely satisfy! I’m not a big fan of spicy foods but this had just enough kick to it for me to enjoy without being overwhelmed. My boyfriend who has a much higher tolerance for spice than I do equally enjoyed it. It is as easy to make as it is to eat 🙂 Thanks for all of these amazing recipes. I really never liked cooking until following your Instagram account!
Hey Kathleen,
I also made for Super Bowl Sunday. Soo Good! I did a couple things differently. First, I used the entire recipe of Super Simple dough and stretched it on a cookie sheet pan. I used Greek yogurt for the ranch dressing and doubled the hot sauce. I added some sliced red onions for color and used Monterrey Jack cheese chunks and shredded Mexican cheese blend along with the Parmesan. I cooked as directed, (without using a pizza stone) and my crust was crispy enough. Next time I will try using the cheeses in the recipe, but I used what I had in the fridge.
Thanks again for another amazing recipe!
Hey Teresa,
I am delighted you enjoyed the recipe, thanks so much for giving it a try! xTieghan
This was a huge hit on super bowl Sunday. I used the primal kitchen Buffalo sauce and it was yum. I will also never buy ranch again bc the version listed here is so much tastier and healthier. Another amazing recipe. ❤️
Hey Alexandra,
I am delighted you enjoyed the recipe, thanks so much for giving it a try! xTieghan
Made this last night for Super Bowl. It was by far the best part of the night. The best pizza recipe I’ve ever made. So happy we have enough for tonight. I woke up thinking about this pizza. 15/10. Thank you ☺️
Hey Tina,
I am delighted you enjoyed the recipe, thanks so much for giving it a try! xTieghan
Made this as an appetizer for the family during the SuperBowl and I got a TON of compliments on it! The flavors are SO GOOD and you just can’t go wrong with pizza. I used store bought Ranch and homemade pizza dough from the HBH Super Simple cookbook; highly recommend this one!
Hey Kayla,
I am delighted you enjoyed the recipe, thanks so much for giving it a try! xTieghan
Made it last night! A winner! The herb/garlic mixture for the top really pops and adds a great dimension to the flavors!
Hey Lesley,
I am delighted you enjoyed the recipe, thanks so much for giving it a try! xTieghan
This was SO delicious. My whole family loved.
There was soooo much grease (butter?) in the pan after cooking and had to drain. I lightly greased the pan and used half the butter that it called for in the Buffalo sauce. Is that what is suppose to happen to get that amazing crisp? Also, it stuck so bad to the pan I had to pry off with a metal spatula. What can I do next time. With all this I still love and will make again! Thanks for another great recipe!!!
Hey Jul,
I am delighted you enjoyed the recipe, thanks so much for giving it a try! Sorry about the butter, I am a little confused though if you had so much extra that your crust stuck to the pan? Was there anything you may have adjusted? xTieghan
This was absolutely fabulous! We cheated and used bottled Ranch but I don’t think it lessens the flavor at all. I had it for dinner and lunch the next day. It heated up nicely
Hey Amy,
I am delighted you enjoyed the recipe, thanks so much for giving it a try! xTieghan
So delicious, and may have been even better the next day! Made homemade ranch with Greek yogurt and made the hot sauce with butter… so good! Added the optional blue cheese and thinly sliced celery on top. Will definitely make again!
Hey Abbey,
I am delighted you enjoyed the recipe, thanks so much for giving it a try! xTieghan
Made this last week and is a favorite of my son’s already. Will be making again soon. Used the easy pizza dough recipe in your super simple cook book also awesome!!!!
Thank you!
Hey Karen,
I am delighted you enjoyed the recipe, thanks so much for giving it a try! xTieghan
Ok, let me just say, this recipe was AMAZING!!! I made it for Super Bowl Sunday and it received rave reviews from everyone. I purchased frozen dough and used Ranch dressing, but other than that I stuck to the recipe. Preheating the oven ahead of time I think was what helped it turn out with a crispy but not burned crust. Oh, and I went heavy on all the cheeses. Definitely a keeper!!! This pizza reheats well in the air fryer 🙂
Hey Mary Ann,
I am delighted you enjoyed the recipe, thanks so much for giving it a try! xTieghan
Any idea why my dough was so sticky? Is it always? Or too much or not enough if something?
Also- do you bloom your yeast prior to using?
Hey Karine,
So sorry your dough was sticky…was there anything you adjusted in the recipe? What kind of yeast did you use? If you using instant yeast you just add it right in with the flour. Let me know how I can help! xTieghan
Just made this and it is absolutely delicious! The homemade ranch and buffalo sauce are amazing!
Hey Laura,
I am delighted you enjoyed the recipe, thanks so much for giving it a try! xTieghan
Amazing!!! No blue cheese for us and we toned down the Buffalo spicy just a tad. It was super delicious!!!! 🤤
Hey Magda,
I am thrilled you enjoyed the recipe. Thanks for giving it a try! xTieghan
Great pizza
Thank you!
Hi, I just wanted you to know that I posted this recipe on my Weekend Cooking feature.
Thanks Bernadette!!
I made this pizza on Superbowl weekend and it came out awesome! Everyone in my family loved it! Love the flavor profiles you use and the herb/spice mixture is on point. I’ve loved all your recipes. I’m sure I will be making this again! Thank you!
Hey Michelle,
I am so glad that you enjoyed the recipe, thanks so much for making it! Have a great weekend:) xTieghan
Made this last night… my 11 year-old daughter and husband were fighting over the last few pieces, because my daughter wanted leftovers to take to school today in her lunch! Anyway, she won, but my husband got promises from me that I’d make it again really soon!
Hey Cassie,
I am so glad that you enjoyed the recipe, thanks so much for making it! Have a great weekend:) xTieghan
It came out soggy from the ranch base and all of the cheese.
Hey Donna,
So sorry your pizza was soggy, let me know if I can help in anyway. xTieghan
A few weeks ago my husband and I had a craving and ordered delivery- it was awful. This recipe was finally scratched the itch and then some. SO GOOD! Thank you.
Hey Serena,
Thanks so much for giving the recipe a try, I am thrilled that it was enjoyed! Happy Valentine’s Day❤️ xTieghan
Delish!! Loved this!! We will use Frank’s Red Hot next time in the homemade Buffalo sauce though because we used the red rooster hot sauce and it was a bit too spicy haha loved the flavours though and the ranch sauce makes the pizza!! Can’t wait to make this again and it’s definitely going into the regular meal rotation!!
Hey Erin,
Thanks so much for giving the recipe a try, I am so glad it was enjoyed! Have a great week:) xTieghan
this was delicious, I used about half of the amount of buffalo sauce called for and it was plenty for my palate. Otherwise made exactly as recipe was written and everyone loved it. Next time I will finely chop the garlic instead of grating it as it was hard to mix it with the parsley. I didn’t have cilantro but didn’t feel it was lacking (although next time I will add it). Delicious served with extra ranch. Wish I had taken a picture, it is pretty, but we tore right into it!
Hey Marilyn,
Thanks so much for making the recipe, I am so glad it was enjoyed! Thanks! xTieghan
This looks so good! Do you think I could substitute the ranch with blue cheese dip/sauce?
Hey Shirley,
Absolutely, I think that would work well! I hope you love the recipe! xTieghan
Made this last night and it was AMAZING! I have loved EVERYTHING that I have made from your site! You are a Cooking Queen, Tieghan! YUMMMMM!
Hey Alexis,
I so appreciate you giving the recipe a try, I am thrilled it was enjoyed! xTieghan
This was SO GOOD! I used both recipes for the ranch & buffalo sauce along with shredded chicken from a rotisserie & not only did it come together so easily but the flavor was incredible! Definitely recommend making this pizza, you won’t regret it!
Hey Christine,
I so appreciate you giving the recipe a try, I am thrilled it was enjoyed! xTieghan
I don’t eat spicy/hot foods and my IBS *murdered* me after eating this due to buffalo sauce, BUT I would 100% go through it all again because this pizza was SO. FREAKING. GOOD.
Hey Nicole,
Thank you so much for making the recipe, I am thrilled it was enjoyed! Have a great weekend:) xTieghan
DELICIOUS! Loved the Buffalo chicken mixture. I skipped the extra herbs because I didn’t have them and for me I think it would be a little too herby for my taste. I followed the homemade ranch recipe in the notes and it was a little on the thick side compared to what yours looked like in the video but maybe a good thing since it was the sauce on the pizza. Overall a DELICIOUS recipe. Super easy too! I used Skinnytaste’s Greek yogurt pizza dough recipe and it paired great with this! 😍 Buffalo chicken pizza is my all time favorite and the place I used to order it has been closed due to COVID so this was such a great recipe for satisfying my craving. We made it on Valentine’s Day. 💖
Hey Jennifer,
Thanks so much for giving this recipe a try, I am so glad it was enjoyed! Happy Sunday:) xTieghan
SOOOOOOO GOOD!!!!! I knew it would be tasty but way better than I ever imagined. Make sure to make the Buffalo sauce. Liquid pizza gold.
Hey Hillary,
Thanks so much for giving this recipe a try, I am so glad it was enjoyed! Happy Sunday:) xTieghan
OHMYGOD. This was SO GOOD. I saw the post and thought ‘wow that LOOKS good, but will it really taste that good?’ Yup. I couldn’t stop eating it. Thursday is our homemade pizza night and I usually love a couple pieces of turkey pepperoni, a pesto or two (small pieces!), something with burrata….tonight I ate this. And only this. I could not get enough. My buffalo chicken fiend children also loved it. Thank you, once again, for an INCREDIBLE recipe. xo
Hey Lauren,
I am delighted that this recipe was enjoyed, thanks a lot for trying it out! Happy Friday! xTieghan
Turned out amazing! I used a gluten free crust and rotisserie chicken and doubled it. My second time making it. Boy approved! 😄
Hey Katherine,
Thanks so much for making this recipe, I am so glad it was enjoyed! Have great week:) xTieghan
I think the temperature is way too high. I got my o en to 400 F (220 C) ant the cheese was burned!
Hey Ruta,
So sorry about this, it is key to cook pizza at a high temp, are you sure you didn’t have your oven at broil? xTieghan
Hi Tieghan!
Pizza looks great but over here in Buffalo we love to use Blue Cheese! 😜 Do you have a homemade
Blue Cheese recipe I can use instead of ranch?
Thanks so much!
Hey Christina,
Sorry I do not have a homemade blue cheese recipe, but you can easily swap your fave with the ranch. I hope you love the recipe! xTieghan
This recipe is EXCELLENT. The herbs are the highlight for me. They provide the fresh that you need to cut through the Buffalo chicken and ranch. I also used the HBH pizza crust recipe and it was so easy to follow and turned out way better than I anticipated it would as I had never made my own dough. Now it’s the only dough recipe I use!
Hey Katie,
I am thrilled this recipe was enjoyed, thanks a lot for making it! Happy Sunday! xTieghan
This was SOOOOO GOOD!! I took the extra steps w the ranch and buffalo sauce- worth it! Bubbly, cheesy spicy chicken goodness! I used the dough recipe from the HBH Super Simple cookbook and made a cheese pizza as well. Will definitely make this again!
Hey Lisa,

I come from a family where homemade pizza is a staple in our diet. I have never had any kind of pizza quite like this though. I am usually very picky but this recipe was absolutely amazing. I made it first for a Super Bowl gathering and have made it multiple times since. I made it for my boyfriend‘s brother who was in town one weekend and after taking one bite he looked up and said this is the best pizza I’ve ever had in my life. Every time I make it I get a reaction like that one. I have shared this recipe with my mom, grandma, and many friends and they all love it too. Once again Teighan’s use of spices is like a party in your mouth with every single bite. Since incorporating half baked harvest recipes in my life not only have I found amazing recipes but I am learning so much about the use of spices. Thank you!
Hey Emily,
Thanks a bunch for giving this recipe a try, I am so excited that it was enjoyed! Happy Friday! xTieghan
How do u use a pizza stone with this recipe if it’s being preheated in the oven.
Hey Patty,
I actually plan my baking sheet with the pizza directly on top of the pizza stone. It creates a really nice crust. I hope you love the recipe!! xTieghan
I made this pizza on Thursday and it was completely amazing! I would even say that it was the best pizza I’ve ever had! Thank you for sharing!!!
Hey Ericka,
