Freezer Smoothie Packs 6 Ways.
{This post is sponsored by Blue Diamond Almond Breeze Almondmilk! I’ve used their Almondmilk Coconutmilk Blend to create these simple smoothie packs that are the perfect on-the-go breakfast or snack!}
Smoothie overload… you ready?

I hope so, because today I am sharing six new smoothie combos!!
Over the weekend I asked you guys on Snapchat what you wanted to see more of from me. Pretty much every response said either easy dinners or on-the-go breakfasts. I was SO happy to hear this, because guess what… it’s what I already have planned for this month. Plenty of easy back to school (or work, or… whatever) dinners and quick on-the-go breakfasts! If there’s anything else you’d like to see though, just let me know!
But today is all about smoothies…obviously!

So here’s the truth. I love a good smoothie, preferably one packed with fruits, nut butters and maybe some Greek yogurt too. However, for as much I as love smoothies, I pretty much never make them, and I blame this all on laziness. For some reason the thought of gathering up all my smoothie ingredients seems a little daunting. I mean, don’t get me wrong, it’s not like I don’t ever make smoothies, but when I’m tired or in a hurry, it’s probably not going to happen.
But, YOU GUYS! I solved my little problem.
Freezer smoothie packs! I’ve seen them in the grocery store freezer isle, but have never thought to buy them. Basically I’m just one giant freak, and über controlling about what goes into the food I eat. Which is also probably the reason why I like to cook everything myself. ?
Can you say major control freak or what?!
Anyway, I decided it was time I made my own freezer smoothie packs! After a little research on Pinterest, I discovered that literally all I needed was freezer bags and my desired smoothie ingredients. Um, OK, done and DONE.

Here’s how this works. Just add all your smoothie ingredients, minus the milk, to you freezer bag and then freeze. When you’re ready to prepare your smoothie, just add all your smoothie ingredients, minus the almond milk, to your freezer bag and then freeze. When you’re ready to prepare your smoothie, just empty the contents of your pack into a blender and add Almond Breeze Almondmilk Coconutmilk Blend (any flavor you love will work!). Depending on how your fruit froze, you may need to break the chunks of fruit up a bit while still in the bag. This just helps make it a little less difficult for your blender.
These fun smoothie packs could not be more perfect for a simple on-the-go breakfast. They’re both healthy and delicious, not to mention SO freaking easy. In total, it probably took me around thirty to forty minutes to prep all six of these smoothie packs. I’d say that’s pretty good for six days worth of healthy breakfasts or snacks! 🙂

OKOK, so let’s talk flavors!!
…cinnamon banana. I credit this flavor all to Caitlin (my brother Kai’s girlfriend). She was telling about this cinnamon banana smoothie that she makes all the time and I pretty much decided right then and there that I needed to make it too. It’s simple, but DELISH.

…peaches and cream. This flavor is inspired by the delicious late summer peaches, and by my brother Brendan’s love of all thing peaches and cream. I also added mango to this, cause well, both Bren and I LOVE mango. Plus I just thought it worked really well. IT DOES.

…chocolate peanut butter banana. Um, do I need to say more? My cousin Abby was all about this one, and can you blame her? Packed with peanut butter, Nutella (yes, Nutella!), banana and creamy almond milk. Honestly, it is SO GOOD.

…pina colada. Inspired my love of all things pineapple, this smoothie is a combo of strawberries + pineapple. It is sweet, creamy, and basically just PERFECTION.

…wild berry Brazilian. Gotta give this one to Lyndsie (Brendan’s girlfriend). She totally told me to create this flavor, and oh my gosh, she sure freaking knows her smoothies. This is a combo of acai and fresh berries. YUM.

…tropical green monster. If I’m going to do a green smoothie, it’s going to be sweet. In my mind, that means all the tropical flavors. Say hello to pineapple, mango, banana and orange. BRING IT ON.

Ok and DONE. That’s all six combos. Please tell me you are as excited as I am. Obviously you can double up on your favorites OR be creative and adjust these flavors to make them your own!!
Soo, you now have zero excuses to skip breakfast or not choose a healthy, delicious snack. Freezer smoothie packs are your new life line! You are so welcome. 🙂

WOW hon, what a great post! Such a nice idea to Show 6 in one post. So we are so lucky to choose whatever we want. I never thought about freezing smoothie ingredients in advance to have them on Hand. You are brilliant. I love my turmeric Lemon smoothie from my blog. I make it a few times in the week.
Yes! I love freezing them cause then there is no need for ice!! Thanks so much Janine!
To make the blending process even easier, defrost the bag in the fridge the night before. Just pop it in the fridge before bed!
Nice tip! Thanks Nancy!
Yum!! I like how the voting thingies are on the left now. Nice size to see and remind us to VOTE.
Haha good! Thanks so much Charlotte, and thanks for voting!! ?
Love this post Tieghan, as I am a true smoothie junkie! Will be doing this with the fruits now in season to enjoy thru the fall and winter!

I have been meaning to try this!! My mornings are so busy that I need some sort of short cut!

Love this idea! I totally understand the daunting nature of pulling out all the smoothie ingredients..pretty funny but so so true. I’m always in a hurry, so these ideas are perfect!!
Awesome! I hope you enjoy them! Thanks Molly!
Love these. Freezer packs are obviously the way to go!
I agree! Thanks Debs! 🙂
OH YUM! I have been wanting to make freezer smoothie bags like these but never did coz like you, laziness lol! But I think I’m going to make it soon because they’re just so much easier that way, just grab and go when you need 1 or craving for 1. Love these!!! And oh did I tell you I made the nutella quesadilla last night at midnight coz I was so craving for it? But I never did take pics because obviously I just wanted to devour them while they’re still warm lol! 😉
Yes! Once you make them you definitely don’t regret it!!
Haha! That’s so funny!! Sounds like the best midnight snack ever!!
Tieghan this idea is so creative. I should totally try this out! I know I’m the same way where if I’m hungry the first thing I will reach for will probs not be a smoothie, and in the morning most days I don’t have time. Preping in advance makes all the difference. Great, easy way to stay healthy throughout the week!
Yes!! They’re so good just hard to remember to make. Thats why I love these!! Might even go have one right now (:
Thanks Kristen
Here’s another idea: My mornings can be really hurried and sometimes I don’t even have time to get out the blender and face washing it so I will make smoothies on the weekends or whenever I have time and then freeze the finished product in a muffin tin. Then I pop out the smoothie discs and store in a bag in the freezer. The night before I want to have a smoothie, I just take out a disc (or 2 or 3), put in a cup, and let it thaw in the fridge over night. Grab and go!
WOW!! What A great idea!! I’ll have to try this!! Thanks Katie!!
Tieghan! Love your flavor combos, especially that cinnamon. One step we are also taking is blending all our greens – kale, collards, romaine, spinach – up on Sunday, pouring them into ice cubes, half filling so the blender doesn’t break, and tossing a few cubes into the blender along with the frozen fruits. The leaves always take longer, so this makes for a very frothy and fast smoothie, those with greens anyway! Thanks for your recipes! Dee xx.
That is such a great idea! Will have to try this! Thanks Dee, I hope you love these smoothies!
OMIGOSH, cinnamon banana, wild berry Brazilian and tropical green monster. I can’t even begin!
Right?! Loving these and so happy you are too Cassie!! Thank you! ?
I love all these combos! I make smoothies a few times a week and it can be time consuming. My current favorite is pineapple, carrot, OJ, and greek yogurt!
Sounds super good!! I hope you love these Carolyn! Thanks!
These recipes are great!
