Cranberry Brie Pull Apart Bread.
BRIE PULL APART BREAD!?
Yes, this is totally happening right now and I am so exited about it! It’s true what they say, sometimes the simplest things are the best, and this bread is simply the best.
I mean, come on do you see all that brie? What’s not to love about that? No joke, this bread is full on amazing. I might just eat it over turkey. No, I would totally eat it over turkey. Cheese and carbs for the win…my mom would be so proud! But guys, in all seriousness this is truly a great recipe to have on hand during the holiday season. I’ve already made it twice and definitely plan on making it again on Thursday as Thanksgiving appetizer. Even though we’re missing a few family members this year, we still have a large crowd and appetizers are a must.
Speaking of Thanksgiving, did you all spend your weekend planning and prepping? I know a lot of you might not be cooking, but those of you who are, are you ready? I should have been planning and prepping, but I totally did not. My game plan is not one I recommend to others, I’m going to cook everything on Thanksgiving Day.
I know, I know, how stupid is that? STUPID. But I’ve got lots to do leading up to Thanksgiving. That leaves me with just one day to prepare food. It’s totally cool though because I actually look forward to this kind of cooking day all year-long. I was telling my mom the other day that Thanksgiving is what I call a “fun, no pressure” cooking day. Normally I’m on the clock trying to get recipes tested and photographed before the sun sets, trying to be creative and plotting out how make my recipes look their absolute best. But on Thanksgiving, I’m just cooking dinner for my family. We listen to Christmas music, bake pies with mom, and Asher usually joins in to help with the sweets…along with making a giant mess…oh well. Now don’t get me wrong, I want to create a delicious meal for my family, but as long as they have turkey, gravy, rolls and mashed potatoes they’ll all be very happy. They are simple, nothing too fancy, kind of people, so it’s not a crazy hard meal to cook. Plus, I think I’ve said this before, but we always get our Christmas tree on Thanksgiving so that makes the day extra fun!
Not that you needed to know all that info, but that’s basically my Thanksgiving day in a nutshell. What do you guys do? I’d love to know your family (or friend) traditions!
Ahh ok, so back to this cranberry brie pull apart bread!
I am sure you guys know about pull apart bread, but have you have seen it with cranberries and brie? When this concept came to mind, I was way too excited about it. Cranberries and brie have got to be one of the best combos. For one, who doesn’t like brie? I feel as though it’s got to be one of the most loved cheeses out there. And with good reason, it’s buttery, and so gooey when warmed.
Perfect for pull apart bread!
Here’s how this works. You cut your bread in a cross hatch type of way, then stuff it with butter, brie, pecans and cranberries – bake, pull apart and eat. Yes, it’s truly as simple as that.
People go crazy for this. When I presented it to my family it was gone in minutes. There’s really nothing not to love. It’s excellence in every which way, and the perfect appetizer for both Thanksgiving and Christmas festivities. <–truth.
PS. these are personal size cheese breads right….yeah right, JUST KIDDING…but not really. 🙂

this scrumptious bread is truly a great recipe to have on hand during the holiday season
Ingredients
- 1 round loaf sourdough bread
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 2/3 cup raw pecans chopped
- 3 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 (16 ounce) wheel of brie, cubed
- 1 cup dried cranberries
Instructions
-
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
-
Slice the bread horizontally and vertically to create 1 inch cubes, being careful not to actually slice all the way through the bread.
-
In a small bowl, combine 2 tablespoons butter, the pecans and brown sugar. Use your hands to mix the butter into the pecans to create a crumble. Take the remaining 2 tablespoons butter and insert thin slices into the loaf of bread.
-
Place the loaf on a baking sheet and stuff the brie inside the bread, filling in all the spaces in between the cuts. Add the cranberries and pecans. Transfer to the oven and bake for 15-20 minutes or until the brie is melted and gooey. Serve immediately.
Cheese me please!
I love this!! Especially coming up to Christmas when most of us have visitors and packed houses, what a great sharing dish!

Awh thank you so much Jessica!!
ah man, there’s brie in it, I’m in heaven!! Brie and Camembert are my downfall. ALong with portuguese cheeses, that is. Portuguese cheeses are the best, if I do say so myself 😉

This is perfect for you then Ruth!! Thank you!
Uber yum! Thanks, Tieghan. Cheers, Ardith
Glad you think so!! Thank you Ardith!

Thank you Kristin!! I will check those cookies out! (:
This is so simple! I might have to try it around Christmas (Thanksgiving is already done in Canada) haha. I love the idea of putting up the tree on Thanksgiving though. It must be such a fun day. 🙂
It would be great for Christmas too! I hope you love it Caroline, thanks!!
Oh wow this looks so delicious and tempting!!!
I am so glad you are liking these, Lili! Thank you!!
This looks delicious! One question, do you use sweetened or unsweetened dried cranberries in this recipe?
I used sweetened, but I think unsweetened would be fine too. Let me know if you have questions. Hope you love this! 🙂
This looks amazing!!! I have to try this recipe out this holiday. Thanks for sharing!
I hope you do and I hope you love it!! Thank you Danni!
You had me at brie! 🙂 This is the perfect Thanksgiving appetizer!
Ah yes! Brie is the best!! Hope you love it Laura!! Thanks!!
This is literally screaming my name! I love brie and cranberries (baked brie with cranberries is actually a favorite), and you just took it to a whole other level! Can’t wait to give this recipe a try. It’s so perfect for the holidays!

YES!! This is so perfect for you!! Hope you love it!! Thanks and happy Thanksgiving Allison!!
Hi, sooo yum! Do you think this would be okay to make and not eat straight away, for a picnic?
Thanks!!
Hi Sarah! This is best eaten whole warm, but I am sure room temp is fine too. Let me know if you have questions. Hope you love this!
This looks yummy. I would like to make it for Thanksgiving. How big is the sourdough bread loaf 6″ or larger?
Yes, 6 to 8 inches is perfect! Mine was around 8 inches. Let me know if you have other questions. Hope you love this and happy Thanksgiving! 🙂
Oh my word! This looks to die for…I’m a recovering bread addict and this might have me falling off the wagon ha ha. About what size was your loaf of bread?
“A recovering bread addict.” That made me smile huge. Have a nice holiday~~!!
Thanks Jude! Happy Thanksgiving!! ?
haha! Mine is about 8 inches. Please let m e know if you have questions. Hope you love this and happy Thanksgiving!
This looks so yummy! I’ve been looking for an appetizer to make, because I’m in charge of apps this year-thanks for making it easy for me!
Ah so fun!! Might be the most fun thing to make in my opinion! Hope this is a hit!! Happy Thanksgiving Sarah!! ?
This bread was a huge hit at Thanksgiving. I used a rosemary sourdough loaf to make it more savory. Thanks so much for a great recipe.
Sounds delicious Pat! So happy you liked it. Thank you!!
I made two of these… pure YUM! We didn’t have pecans but it was still incredible without. Thanks so much for this super easy & popular recipe! Will definatly be making again!
So happy you liked it Kate!! Thanks!!
I made this for my friendsgiving feast and it was a total hit! Everyone enjoyed it and I’ve heard my friends still craving it since. I look forward to making a mini version that I can indulge in all to myself. Thank you!!
Ah yay!! SO happy it was a hit!! Thanks so much Resa!!
Look so cute and delicious! What do you think about add chesses on bread???
I am all for adding cheeses!! The more the cheese the better! Let me know if you have questions. Hope you love this, thank you! 🙂
Made this for a Thanksgiving appetizer and it was a HUGE hit. Mine did not turn out quite as attractive as yours and I was thinking that it was because I didn’t remove any of the rind. That usually helps the brie hold some of it’s shape, but this time losing its shape is probably exactly what it needed. So delicious and I think that I could convince myself that it was a breakfast food too.
Hey, Kristin!! So happy you made it! Thats probably why! Haha!! So happy you liked it!! Thank you!!
Hi Tieghan! Do you recommend using salted or unsalted butter for this recipe? Thanks in advance for your response!
Hey Kat! I like using salted butter! Thanks!
This looks awesome. Missed it for Thanksgiving but Christmas is right around d the corner and I will be making it then
Thanks.
Awesome! Hope you love it!!
Ok, my friend and I made this last night and it was AMAZING!!! Our grocery store did not have sourdough (what!) so we ended up using a cranberry pistachio bread instead and just left the cranberries out of the cheese. It was so so good. Will definitely make again!
I am so glad this went so well for you!! Thanks so much!
I’d love to make it for the office Christmas party, but we have no oven. Since the bread is already baked, can we use the microwave to melt it? Thanks!
Hi! Yes, I think that will be just fine. Let me know if you have questions. Hope you love this! 🙂
This sounds delish! Thank you for sharing.
Your welcome! Thank you!
Using cranberry brie pull apart bread for appetizer in the family or friend party is such a great idea! I must try! Thank for sharing and Merry Christmas!
This looks yummy!!!! Should I peel the white rind off of the Brie first? Thanks for a delicious idea!
I leave the rind on, but it is prettier if you remove the rind. Happy Holidays! ?
This looks delicious! My son has a severe tree nut/peanut allergy. Do you have a suggestion for a replacement for the pecans? Thank you!
Hey Laura!! You can just leave the pecans out of the recipe. No big deal! Let me know if you have other questions. Hope you love this and Merry Christmas! ?
Can I prepare this the day before, refrigerate it & bake it the next day? I’d like to take it to a friend’s house for Chrstmas dinner.
Yes, that will work great! Let me know if you have other questions. Hope you love this and Merry Christmas!
Homemade bread is wonderful to have on hand, and I really enjoy kneading the dough. The whole process is relaxing. But I now have an infant who does not understand that yeast has a schedule to keep, so I only make bread occasionally. However, my husband and I still aren’t in the habit of buying sandwich bread. I don’t know why.
Do you think blueberries would go with this recipe? In place of cranberries or even with cranberries?
I think blueberries sound incredible! YUM!
If there is one thing I like, it’s homemade
Thanks Ronald!
hi Tieghan,
i am not sure i totally understand the quantity of brie this recipe calls for. i am in france which may explain that i am not familiar with one-ounce wheels (?) … if i buy one pound of brie is that about right?
many thanks,
isabel
This looks yummy.
Thank you!
This looks delicious!! One question….the wheel of brie should weigh how many ounces??
It should be 8 ounces of brie. Let me know if you have other questions. Hope you love the this. thanks! 🙂
Just looking at these pictures of homemade paes makes me mouth water, I’d rather do than buy
Thanks!
I do not have much patience to be doing paes I prefer to buy them
Tastes just as great! I hope you love this!
it looks really tasty, especially now near lunch: P
Glad you think so! Thanks!
I am a bit confused a 1 ounce round of Brie??? So that is a round that is what about 1″ across?? HELP
So sorry for the confusion, it is 1 (16 ounce) wheel of brie. Recipe is all fixed. Please let me know if you have other questions. Hope you love this recipe! Thanks! 🙂
The awesome Delicious recipe I like this, next Sunday I will try to make in my home my self. Thank you so much for sharing this nice post.
I am so glad you like this! Thank you Rebecca!
Can I use frozen cranberries in this recipe instead of the dried ones?
I think frozen cranberries will be great, but I’d add a little sweetness to balances the tart cranberries. Maybe 1 tablespoon more sugar. Please let me know if you have other questions. Hope you love this recipe! Thanks! 🙂
Could I use fresh cranberries?
Sure! That will be great! I might add another tablespoon of sugar to balance the tartness. Please let me know if you have other questions. Hope you love this recipe! Thanks! 🙂
Yum! Looks amazing (but everything you make does!) Thoughts on using fresh cranberries instead of dried?
Thank yoU! 🙂 Fresh cranberries will be great, but I’d add a little sugar (maybe 1 tablespoon) to balance the tartness. Please let me know if you have other questions. Hope you love this recipe! Thanks! 🙂
This looks delicious! I’m not a fan of pecans, would walnuts work well with this?
Yes, walnuts will be great! Please let me know if you have other questions. Hope you love this recipe! Thanks! :
Do you add the cranberries and pecans inside of the bread with the cheese then sprinkle some on top with melted butter?
HI! Yes, some inside and then just a lite sprinkle on top. Please let me know if you have other questions. Hope you love this recipe! Happy Holiday’s 🙂
I did not resist and asked my wife to do so. Thank you!
I am glad you enjoyed this!
It looks like so delicious! I’ll have a try this recipe out!
Thank you so much! I hope you love this Maria!
Very eager to make this, but hard to find sourdough bread, especially in this shape, our here on the East Coast. Any good substitutions, or would any bread be okay?
HI! Any bread you love to eat will be great. Just use your favorite!! Please let me know if you have any other questions. I hope you love this recipe. Thanks so much! xTieghan
I am planning on making this for a cocktail party as well as for Thanksgiving. I am a little confused by the first direction of cutting horizontally and then vertically but not cutting all of the way through. Do you cut the loaf in half and then from the top? Or is it more of a cross hatching from the top? This looks amazing!
hey Andi! It’s a cross hatch from the top! Please let me know if you have any other questions. I hope you love this recipe. Thanks so much! xTieghan
Insanely easy to whip up and super delicious. I tested this this week and can’t wait to serve for Thanksgiving. The only thing to note is that this doesn’t work as a leftover, which won’t be a problem if you serve it on Thanksgiving because trust me people will eat this up!!
Hi Emma! I am so glad you loved this recipe and it turned out so well for you! Thank you!
I just made this and it is Devine! I didn’t use sour dough bread cause the store was out so I used soup bowl bread . The top of bread got a little toasty but was still delicious. Also do you bake this with the rind on or do you take that off? Will definitely be making this again but with sour dough bread. Thanks so much
Hey Cat! I like to bake this with the rind on, but the recipe works either way and you should do what you love best! If the top of the bread is getting too cooked, just cover it with foil towards the end of baking. Please let me know if you have other questions. So happy you love this recipe! Thank you and Happy Thanksgiving! xTieghan
This is so delicious! I mad it last year and my husband is begging for it again his Thanksgiving. I’m excited to try the chai old fashioned.
Thank you so much Trina! I am so glad you loved this recipe and I hope you love the chai old fashioned!
Okay – I just made this for Thanksgiving, with 16 guests…it was CRAZY GOOD. Everyone went wild for it. A few adjustments, for large number of guests and nut-allergic guest: I bought a long loaf of bread, and crammed every nook and cranny with everything but the pecans (so in the step where you coat the pecans with butter and brown sugar, I just did butter+brown sugar). A total delighter, it was gone in minutes.Everyone wanted the recipe too. Thank you for this!
I am so happy to hear that this turned out so perfectly for you, Samantha! Thank you so much for making it!
This was a huge hit at my daughter’s 1st birthday – Santa Baby – party. Next time I think I’ll cut the bottom crust off before doing the cuts almost all the way down, as it was a little difficult for people to pull apart (I used sourdough loaves). Also, I had cranberry sauce to use up and a guest with a nut allergy so I used the sauce instead of dried cranberries and left out the nuts. Excited to try it different ways. I also like the concept for different flavors too…maybe a spinach and artichoke pull apart bread? Thanks for the great idea!
Hi Emelia! I am so glad you loved this bread! Also, such a sweet idea for a birthday party! Spinach and artichoke pull apart bread sounds amazing to me!! I think you should try that! Thank you!
We had this last night at a dinner party and it was SO GOOD!!!
Thank you Emilie! xTieghan
Do you think it could work to stuff the bread earlier in the day, and keep in fridge, then pop it in the oven when ready? Trying to see what I can make ahead for Thanksgiving so I’m not stressing last minute 🙂
Yes! This will work great! Please let me know if you have any other questions. I hope you love this recipe! Thank you! Have a wonderful Thanksgiving!! xTieghan
Do you take the rind off the Brie or leave it on?
Hey Janet, for this recipe I remove most of the rind, but it is OK to leave some of the rind on. You can eat it! 🙂 Please let me know if you have any other questions. I hope you love this recipe! Thank you! Have a wonderful Thanksgiving!! xTieghan
We have a nut allergy in the family – what do you suggest as a substitute for the pecans? or if removing the pecans should i still mix the butter and brown sugar and put it in the bread with the cranberries?
HI! I would just omit the pecans, 2 tablespoons butter and brown sugar. The bread will still be delicious with only the cranberries. Please let me know if you have any other questions. I hope you love this recipe! Thank you and happy holidays! xTieghan
Could I prep this and wrap it in Saran Wrap/foil and put in the fridge fir a day or two and bake when ready?
HI! Yes, that will work great! Please let me know if you have any other questions. I hope you love this recipe! Thank you and Merry Christmas! xTieghan
I love would to make it for our Christmas church potluck. How can I keep it warm or is it still good cool?
HI! You can wrap the bread in foil, then keep warm in the slow cooker set to LOW. That will work well! Please let me know if you have any other questions. I hope you love this recipe! Thank you and Merry Christmas! xTieghan
Hi
We have a nut allergy, anything you can suggest to swap for the pecans? Thank you
HI! You can just omit the pecans + brown sugar completely. The bread will still be great! Please let me know if you have any other questions. I hope you love this recipe! Thank you and Merry Christmas! xTieghan
Do you leave the rind on the Brie?
Hi Lisa! I do! I hope you love this! xTieghan
Oh my! I made this last night for a house party and when it came out of the oven, it looked gorgeous. I was going to take a picture to post on IG. In between putting it down on the food table and quickly greeting someone, I turned around and it was being devoured. This was a HUGE hit! Wow! I was so happy to get in a few pieces and it is indeed delicious! I’m making it again for an apres ski party we have this Friday. Merry Christmas! I have a strong suspicion that your new cookbook will be under our tree tomorrow! I’m so excited! Oh – I’ll make sure to capture a photo of this deliciousness next time!
I am so glad this turned out so well for you Caroline! Thank you so much for trying it! Also, that is so exciting! If it is, I hope you LOVE it! Let me know what you end up trying from the book! xTieghan
I made this last night and unfortunately it looked nothing like the picture. We could not get the Brie yo melt. I finally took it out of the oven at 25 minutes due to the bread getting hard.
I read later that I could have tried putting foil over the top. I was also thinking I should have removed the rind on Brie. I also thought that maybe I should have let the Brie get to room temp before cooking. All I know is it was not gooey and pretty like the pics and I had chunks of Brie instead of melted Brie. Could be a user problem. The nuts were very good with the brown sugar though.
HI! What brand of brie did you use? Was if very soft or was it hard? I have never, ever had my brie not melt so my guess is that maybe it was the Brie you used? Next time I would try a different brand and cover the bread with foil if you need to. Please let me know if you have any other questions. I hope you love this recipe! Thank you and I hope you had Merry Christmas! Sorry my response is a bit late! xTieghan
I had all the fixings to do the Brie Cranberry Tarts for Thanksgiving but never got to it. So when guests arrived unexpectedly on Saturday, I took those fixings and made a version of this. Rolled out the puff pastry and spread some fig jam on it, placed the wheel of brie on top. Tossed the cranberries with the melted butter and brown sugar as directed but did not have cinnamon, so used a touch of Fireball whiskey. Placed this combo on top of the brie, wrapped it all up in the puff pastry and applied an egg wash. Baked at 350 degrees for about 20-25 minutes until it looked golden and gooey. It was devoured in minutes. So popular that I made it again for daughter’s graduation celebration and again scarfed right down is guess what is on the menu for Christmas drop in guests.
Yes! That is so awesome! Thank you so much for trying a version of this haha! xTieghan
I love this recipe!! I’ve made it four different time for holiday parties and it’s a huge hit. This last time I used cranberry sage chutney instead of the dried cranberries and was very nice. Thank you!
Thank you so much Averi! xTieghan
Now this was good! Served this as an appetizer for Christmas and everyone loved it! We are big fans of Brie so we knew we were already going to love this recipe. Keeping this and definitely planning to make this again.
That is so amazing! I am so glad this turned out so well for you! xTieghan
This receipt was a hit at our gathering tonight.
Everyone was in love with this bread and wanted the recipe. This is my new go to app..Thank You!!
Thank you
Thank you so much Terri! I am so glad this turned out so well for you! xTieghan
I made two of these for a Christmas family gathering. They were gone before I tasted it!! I have been requested to make it again 😉 Everyone loved it!! Thank you for this recipe!!!
Wow taking that as a good sign!! Thank you for trying these Lynn and hope you get one next time haha! xTieghan
Warning: You’ll likely need more like 20 minutes to prepare this (more in our case since we made two loaves). More important: Consider doing as we did and making two loaves because, oh boy, once you start eating this it’s hard to stop. We took them to a New Year’s Eve gathering, and they were. oohed and ahhed over even as they were devoured. While it takes a little time to cut up the ingredients and assemble, it’s worth every minute. Enjoy!
Hi Ann! I am so glad this turned out so well for you! Thank you so much for trying it! xTieghan
I made this for our Super Bowl party. It was a huge hit! I couldn’t stop pulling off pieces of delicious cheesy bread. Thanks for another great recipe.
Thank you Corie! I am so glad you all enjoyed this! xTieghan
Just looking at these pictures of bread, I feel like eating!
Thank you Amanda! xTieghan
I’m going to make this when I have the ladies over for lunch and am serving Helen Corbett’s chicken salad. ( The most fab chicken salad on earth) Look her up, and the history on this chicken salad. I’m going to delete the brown sugar, as the chicken salad has fruit, and I don’t want too much sweet. I can’t wait, and I think that I’ll be making some as gifts.
Amazing!! I am really glad this recipe turned out so well for you! Thank you! xTieghan
This is awesome and now a go too for family gatherings ❤️
Love to hear that! Thank you so much Cathy! xTieghan
Hey Tieghan! I just got all the ingredients for this today and I’m super excited to make it! I noticed though that my sourdough loaf is already cut into slices, all the way through. Do you have any recommendations on how to tweak this so I can use the loaf that I have?
Hey Kaley,
You could add the filling in-between the slices. I hope you love the recipe, please let me know if you have any other questions! xTieghan
I find it’s much easier to slice the loaf fully in one direction, then spread softened butter between the slices, then once it’s buttered, slice the loaf in the other direction and then stuff/top.
Amazing! Thank you for sharing, Lisa! xTieghan
You do peel the rind off the Brie before chopping, right? I shared your recipe and was asked! Great recipe and can’t wait to try it!
Hey Gayle,
I like to leave the rind on, but you can certainly peel it too. I hope you love the recipe, please let me know if you have any other questions! xTieghan
Is there something crunchy you could recommend to replace the pecans with? We have a nut allergy at our house, but this look incredible.
Hey Amber,
You could use another nut that you enjoy or just omit them:) I hope you love the recipe, please let me know if you have any other questions! xTieghan
We have a nut allergy in the house – will omitting the pecans be catastrophic? 😉
Hey Kristy,
That will be okay to do! I hope you love the recipe, please let me know if you have any other questions. Happy Thanksgiving! xTieghan
If you wanted to leave out the pecans would you omit the brown sugar and butter all together?
Hey Sue,
I think that would be personal preference. I hope you love the recipe, please let me know if you have any other questions. Happy Thanksgiving! xTieghan
Hi!! Can you do this with fresh cranberries or no?
Hey Lauren,
I prefer to do dried cranberries with this recipe. I hope you love the recipe, please let me know if you have any other questions. Happy Thanksgiving! xTieghan
could you sub in dried cherries instead of cranberries
Hey Lynn,
Sure, dried cherries would work well here. I hope you love the recipe, please let me know if you have any other questions! Happy Holidays! xTieghan
Can you use fresh cranberries?
Hey Renee,
I would recommend sticking with dried cranberries for this recipe! I hope you love the recipe, please let me know if you have any other questions! xTieghan
This may be our new holiday staple! Could you use real cranberries instead of dried?! Do you have any suggestions?
Hey Lauren,
I am so glad you have been enjoying this recipe! I really think dried cranberries work best here. Please let me know if you have any other questions! Happy Holidays! xTieghan
We made this to eat while we decorated the tree and no one wanted to step away from it for fear everyone else would eat it all. It was SOOOOO good!
Hey Sharon,
Thanks so much for giving the recipe a try, I am thrilled that it worked out for you! Happy Holidays! xTieghan
Do you have a homemade bread recipe (not sourdough) that would work well for this?
Hey Stacey,
I do, the recipe is in the HBH Super Simple Cookbook. I hope you love the recipe, please let me know if you have any other questions! Happy Holidays! xTieghan
This was yummmmmy! I used leftover cranberry sauce instead of cranberries and it worked great. Another keeper from HBH❤
Hey Susan,
I am so glad you enjoyed the recipe, thanks so much for giving it a try! Happy New Year! xTieghan
I made this as a Christmas appetizer with some homemade sourdough and it was out of this world. It was so simple to assemble and I love that there are only a few ingredients. I’m already thinking I will add this to my NYE roundup of appetizers, because I think I could eat this every day. Thanks, Tieghan!
Hey Blayre,
Thank you so much for giving the recipe a try, I am thrilled that it was enjoyed! Happy New Year! xTieghan
Terrific! I made this to bring to my friend’s for dinner tonight! A huge hit! She’s a fabulous cook but a bit of a skeptic thinking things are too much work or too many ingredients. This one she loved! We’ll both make this again! So simple and such a Big Bang for your efforts!
Hey Kyle,
Thanks so much for giving the recipe a try, I am so glad it was enjoyed! Happy New Year! xTieghan
Just made this and had to hurry and comment. This is so good!
Love, love, love this dish. This will become my new party appetizer. Can’t wait to share with people after the pandemic ends. My husband and I are gobbling this down as I type this.
Hey Chris,
Thanks so much for giving the recipe a try, I am so glad it was enjoyed! Happy New Year! xTieghan
Second time I’ve made this one. Soooo yummy! I used a spicy Brie and it went really well with the brown sugar.
Hey Jacque-Lynne,
Thanks so much for trying the recipe, I am thrilled that it worked out for you! Happy New Year! xTieghan
I can boil water and make a decent grilled cheese sandwich or a fried egg sandwich. I decided that 2021 would be the year I elevated my cooking skills but the real start date would be Christmas Dinner 2020. I got a little crazy and decided to continue a tradition of my dad’s and make prime rib. My first.
For Christmas Dinner, I relied partly on Tieghan’s Coffee Rubbed Prime Rib Roast with Roasted Garlic Gorgonzola Butter, Sweet and Spicy Seasoned Crackers, Frosted Mistletoe Margarita, and her Cranberry Brie Pull-Apart Bread, the subject of this review I am writing up reviews on the other recipes this weekend.
I followed the recipe as written, making no substitutions. Probably due to my limited cooking skills, I found this particular dish for my dinner particularly troublesome. I really had to work at stuffing the brie inside the bread, filling in all the spaces in between the cuts. Even spreading the softened butter in between, I found I was tearing the bread apart more than I wanted.
Maybe it was the bread I used; I’m not sure. I like the idea of this recipe however, next time, I will make using a bread bowl. FWIW, of the four Tieghan recipes I used, this was my biggest miss of the evening.
Thanks, Tieghan, for a terrific web site, entertaining blog, and exquisite photography.

But I now have an toddler who does not remember that yeast has a schedule to preserve, so I simplest make bread sometimes.
